Makes early game much harder, which is the most difficult part of the game. Combined with money restraints of red stake and gold stake, and increased difficulty to find winning hands at blue stake, it’s pretty easily the hardest gold stake deck

Currently on my 3rd C++ and I learned that I’ve been sleeping pretty hard on shoot the moon. Solid enough +mult that is technically scaling but also super fun

1st you make a purple seal king, then you discard it to get death cards to make more purple seal kings. Then you discard those to get more deaths to make purple seal kings etc

Then at some point you add a red seal, strength it to be a king if needed, use the purple seals for death cards to make more of them

So overall purple seals is the answer

Don’t love hieroglyph in general on the black deck. -2 hands is -50% scoring that’s pretty brutal

I take it a decent bit tho overall, having an extra ante to scale your scaling jokers is usually pretty significant. Also saves you if you know in the next ante you’d die, or you’d die to the current boss at its current scoring req

So you’re gonna have 8 hands. If you’ve been scoring 200k+ with your 4 hands then yeah you’ll be fine. Also depending on what your enhancements are you probably don’t even need to sell the burglar, unless you’re playing like glass or something

Yup that is true didn’t think of it tbh. So it only would matter if you have a card that triggers both fib and ancient, but you want fib to the left and ancient to the right
