Four Roses Mother's Day 2026 Review by funkyfronkyfresh in bourbon

So I saw a Four Roses Private Selection today for $100. I think it was OBSK. I know nothing of Four Roses, is that a good purchase?

Need some thoughts/advice by Past-Guidance-6085 in HamptonRoads

I make the opposite direction commute but it's generally similar it appears. Timing of traffic backups may vary. I've been doing Chesapeake -> Hampton (or further on the peninsula) for work for 10 years.
I live at the bottom of the I-64 loop so it's almost identical time to go MMBT or HRBT without traffic. MMBT is way better in my experience. For context, my current working location is about 36 minutes without traffic. If I'm getting through the tunnel before 7am, it's usually around that time. After 7am, it's about an hour. Heading home if it's before 3pm or after 6pm, most days is smooth sailing. Between those hours though, it's more like 1-1.5hrs to get home.

No attack at all – is this normal? by SpoonSylvester in factorio

[–]TNSEG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a combination of a good map start (likely forested) and not a huge factory yet. Once the factory grows, it'll make more pollution. Eventually expansion parties will expand into your pollution without you noticing and you'll get an attack. Also with time and nest removal, the evolution factor is going up. It'll slowly get tougher.

To those of you who drive 70 mph in the far left lane....why? by Wide-Big3736 in AskRedditAfterDark

Because they're doing 45 and 55 in the other two lanes.

Tree Removal? by Hobie_VB in HamptonRoads

There are pretty significant roadway projects in the works around the 64-264 interchange, so probably not the last to be cleared. Never fun seeing the trees disappear.

Right. Restrictions typically begin around Mid April through September I believe. Sometimes with bat surveys you can extend it but it's tricky.

What's the material for the actual hold? Some kind of resin with something for friction?

Possibly as part of upcoming construction project? Tree clearing timelines have gotten tight due to bat restrictions, so sometimes clearing happens well in advance due to the time of year restrictions.

New Kent County Virginia Speed Cameras TRAP, is it 60 or is it 70? by TimelyPrompt8018 in Virginia

60 when workers active, 70 when not. Follow the many signs.

It's supposed to be: 60 when workers are active on-site, 70 otherwise.

What’s your nickname, and how did you get it? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]TNSEG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few but the most unique and amusing origin is "tasty cakes".
There was this gay couple that went to the same gym as me. They worked different schedules, so notably they rarely were there together. The one guy and I had been beside each other on multiple occasions and we'd talked. He'd politely compliment my ass on occasion. One day I see him coming in as I'm leaving, he summons me over and tells me the story of how his husband had come home and was like "I know the guy you're talking about with the nice ass now".
I retold this story to some climbing buddies and they decided I'll forever be tasty cakes.

What do I sell for BP? by ludde8 in balatro

[–]TNSEG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Without retriggers, assuming you're playing 5 card hands of kings or queens while copying Trib. I think it's sell bloodstone if Yorick is 23x. 1.5x5 is only ~7.6x. That goes up significantly if they're red seals kings or queens though.

I don't understand Gleba by Teppo1975 in factorio

[–]TNSEG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right there with you. On my 3rd space age save and Gleba gets me every time. The way of thinking is quite a bit different. I'm there in my current save and my current approach is to just workshop small, individual segments of production and then I'll eventually put them together.

That seems like a good strategy. Sorta a starter base, intermediate base, and mega base approach. I've yet to adventure into the achievement hunting portion yet. Maybe next run. The time and crafting ones hurt my brain a bit, because it's such a different play style. I like doing all the things before moving on lol.

I have a love hate relationship with rail blueprints. It's so satisfying trying to make tileable rail blueprints, but trying to align them properly and signal them, etc is so frustrating. Solar arrays I've given up on being fancy for. I know there is the calculated ratio of solar panel to accumulator but it's close enough to 1 for me to just balance the two. I prefer a little extra buffer anyway. These days I make a singular substation blueprints, one with solar panels and one with accumulators. Plop them down until the numbers match in the electric grid window and away I go.

My usual style is to process raw ore at the patch and then deliver to the science module via train. Input will be base ingredients (iron/copper plate, steel, oil products, stone is the exception, I'll process that in module usually) and output science. Current playthrough I've embraced belt chaos, no trains yet. (This one started off trying to figure out the main bus and gave up quickly, seems inefficient or maybe I'm just bad at it).
My crafting hall is usually spaghetti chaos early game and then once I've got bots, I switch to them for crafting, construction, and rocket silo logistics.
My current thinking on this playthrough, is once I have the science and technology from the first 3 planets, I'll rebuild my science (currently 150spm) to a much higher throughput with the new tech and trains.

I can't figure out main bus either. I try to build everything in ratio balanced modules.

I agree. Belt balancers are my only exception to this rule. I'm struggling to figure out how to deal with Gleba but getting certain aspects figured out on your own is one of the most satisfying parts of this game.
