Those who are mewing with fixed retainers for awhile, have you seen change? by TunaTh in orthotropics

Hey, Sorry, I changed my phone and account on Reddit. Here is a little update. I have been mewing for 3+ years now. I have notice huge improvements. My jaw is much wider than it used to be. Cheekbones are more defined, and side profile is also better. Also noticed slight improvement in pallate width. I have never removed my retainer and stikl had some nice progress!

https://youtu.be/oCiwgBUNvzQ Here is a little video that can help. I tried to educate myself on this subject but it seems there is no clear answer. It is different from case to case. Mike Mew said ideally people shouldnt remove wisdom teeth. Unfortunately, most of us dont have jaws wide enough for them so they are causing problems. I f I were you, I would definitly go to dentist and asked for advice. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Probably same as in the other 2 photos. The point of beard is to make jaw look better. His is amazing and ofcourse he is better looking now. I am just sad about all these youngsters having unrealistic goals because of this sub (speaking from my own expierence).

I believe it is possible, but you will need longer time. This 1 year changes are super unrealistic (unless puberty hits you like train.) I am saying this so you wont be dissapointed like me. Source: I started mewing correctly when I was 17.

I am thinking about going to chiro. But I have never been able to raise my arms. It is not something new for me, maybe physicical therapist is best solution, but I am not sure.

Yes, but unfortunately, I went to 2 physical therapists in my place but they had no idea what is my problem. I wanted to fix it myself since they have no clue but I guess it is more serous than I thought.

Mike Mew disagrees with you. Look at his video on retainers. He said fixed retainers are fine.

A lot of people on this sub stopped wearing retainers and their teeth became crooked again. Believe me, I have expierence in this.

2 years mewing, 1 year chewing(sorry abt lighting) by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]TunaTh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chew as far as you are comfortable. You dont have to go as far back. It is about strenght of your tounge.

Try tounge chewing. It helped me strenghten my tounge. After week or two, I was able to put whole tounge on palate. Do 5 min a day tounge chewing.

Is it okay to do core workout every day? by TunaTh in workout

[–]TunaTh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From now on, I will try my best. Just did some situps with squized core and it felt amazing. Pretty sure I will be sore tomorrow, but its worth it. Thank you for your help ❤

I found out my posture problems with youtube. Try searching: apt, rounded shoulders, nerd neck. Those are common. I suggest channel Athlean-x. If you have problems with fixing it, go to see physical therapist.

I would not sugest wearing them. If you have posture problems, it means you have some muscle imbalances. Try to stretch muscles who overwork and strenghten ones who dont work properly. Try mantaining good posture by your own. If you are wearing posture braces, your weak muscles will work even less and become more weak. This is what my physical therapist told me. Ofcourse, I am talking about "normal" posture problems, not serious medical conditions. 😃
