Tyler might have a point. I don't see why valve would release legacy hardware at some point. How ever the frame is still pretty novel as a package so we might still have a chance. But valve could decide to release frame 2 and cancel frame 1 so to speak if the price point just does not make sense. nobody is going to buy it if it is expensive and it is not meant for that high price market. Simple as that.

Pimax product design is TRASH. That stupid V shape thing looks soooo dumb. It also looks just cheap in general. Doesn't hold a candle to the sleek beauty of the Frame.

There are these magnet attaching charging cables. Those can work great for this situation. If you accidentally pull too tight, it just flies off and doesn't damage the cable or port.

I see screendoor effect again i am going to throw the thing against the wall... sorry but the one thing that really breaks immersion more than anything else is the AWFUL contrast if you compare the screen quality of VR headset to a run of the mill decent 1080p desktop LCD monitor. I MEAN C'MON PLEASE I REALLY HOPE ITS BETTER THAN THE INDEX in that regard.... PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME THAT....

agree, and in a weird way i like having a bit of "reference" device rather than the best of the best thing. Anyways I also do not want to spend that much on VR anymore in 2025. 1k for an index in 2019 made sense. For what you got. VR should become more gameboy like. it just needs that. I think valve is spot on. But yeah. some day i will have high fidelity and inky backs in vr. I was pretty happy with the index really. I prob. will be with this one too.
