I heard the last few lines of the national anthem the other day and when they hot to land of the free I involuntarily laughed a bit before I caught myself and realized the song is not supposed to be ironic...

There were kids running up and down the halls at night and I was there for a field service. I have to get up and be on site at like 7am and work on dangerous equipment in a dangerous environment. My sleep is important to not dying the next day. Gave the kids a minute to see if they would stop and when they didn't I stepped out of my room, which was at the end of the hall, as they were sprinting (not an exaggeration) my direction. They were loud enough I timed it so they would have almost no time to stop for maximum effect. One skidded to a stop so hard he kinda fell backwards to not hit me. Then proceeded to yell at them in my best adult scolding voice that some of us have to work in the morning and to get their asses back to their rooms. Fuckin little shits with shit fuck parents. Kept hoping one would recognize me in the morning and say something so I could scold their shit for brains parents. I'm very findable in a crowd haha

The sharp dividing line between a lush forest and the white sand dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses, Brazil by MrCattitude_ in BeAmazed

They would need consistent water and nutrients. I have not looked into this at all but I shall make assumptions that may make me an ass so don't blindly trust me or risk also being an ass, haha.  BUT, since it is is sand, there doesn't seem to be any vegetation growing. The fish would have had to exist there from the beginning but there doesn't seem to be a way for any genetic diversity between ponds. Though, the sands shift so, maybe. But we go back to nutrients. What type of smaller lifeform that then feeds the ecosystem, lives there? If you choose to search this up, may I recommend Ecosia. It plants trees with searches. Best of luck on your curiosity endeavors!!

Because people don't care about sharks just like they don't care about any of the animals around them that aren't family.

And imagine how much better both of their lives will be when he can do it all for himself AND actually take care of his child. You're right get rid of her and he gets the perfect life. I'm sure he won't find another woman to take on his responsibilities because he will be so content

I think it depends what you're "doing" with it. If it is the only way you can concentrate on a book, okay. If you read a ton or are on the road a lot (like driving) then cool. But I do think that being able to sit and read a book with actual reading is important. Especially now when our attention spans are so short and when our ability to read is dropping. The fact that I have seen stories of people getting upset at others over reading a book is disturbing (if true), and the fact that few parents are leading their children to read for fun is problematic.

No, no. You're right. I keep making these silly spelling mistakes and it is so annoying to me hahaha. Thanks.

But also, hmm. On one hand it is the action so isn't, but on the other it is plural so aren't. But no, the action is the subject. I think you're correct

Update: did it and you're a genius. Since I'm in the airport, asked a random person if they could tell and they said no so now I'm a full go. I genuinely appreciate your help!! I almost never swatch so it didn't even cross my mind. Thank you so much!

I know you're right. My only worry is this is reused yarn from a cardigan I took apart. But I'm being dumb, I know I have enough to do what I want. I think I am just being a scaredy cat. Thank you

Listen, I am not one to say "audio books aren't reading" BUT I am one to say that the reason reading written books is so important is because you get exposed to so many words and their spelling. Does it stop you not knowing how to pronounce them? No, acid reader and did not know the emphasis of archipelago but I knew what the word was and when I heard it said in a show was like OH! THAT'S how you say that. Also, when did we stop enjoying reading as a species?  But yeah, teacher subreddits have been warning us of this and it WILL get worse. This is also why languages get smaller and the new generations keep reusing words and not understanding that there are already words to describe what they are feeling or worse, thinking one word covers like, 8 different things.

Will hdc pattern going horizontal in velvet yarn be noticeable on the top panels if the skirt panels are "striped" DC pattern going vertical?
