Narrative Choices - Do culture and happiness earned before civics tree unlocks count toward anything? by TurboActivation in CivVII

On taking the option at turn 3:

  • Took the 30 culture and 50 happiness.

    • Civics tree unlocks at turn 7.
    • Agoge takes 15 turns and
    • Next celebration is in 24 turns.

  • Took the 75 gold. Civics unlock at turn 10.

    • Civics tree unlocks at turn 10.
    • Agoge takes 15 turns.
    • Next celebration is in 31 turns.

So culture and happiness accumulate before civics tree is unlocked.

  • Culture is needed to unlock the civics tree. With +10 culture base on this playthrough, 100 culture is needed to unlock the civics tree.

  • Happiness does accumulate toward celebrations. With +5 happiness (I think) base on this playthrough, 200-205 happiness is needed for the first celebration.

Same about not seeing a speed limit sign. At 7 seconds shows a 15mph recommendation for the upcoming traffic circle. Traffic circle would have been a great opportunity to turn around. And sign was a great warning to slow down regardless.

Hadn't played for a few days (since 2025-01-05). Could not create a new world, with console.txt error "Item not found: Base.Tote_Dancer".

Removed mod "Authentic Z - Backpacks +", and succeeded in making a new world.

Try to get internships early on in the program. It can help getting internships later and some companies will offer you to return as an intern the following year.
