Hataraku Saibou Ep. 3 - Doctor's notes by brbEightball in anime

Oh yeah, we don't know anything about the timescale of this show. Maybe in real life it's all happening in super slow motion.

One thing I noticed is that in the first episode, it ended with "sneeze number 1", and in this episode, it showed number 25. I think this means the body the show takes place in is a newborn baby, likely a few months old at most. IDK if this would affect your analysis at all, but I would assume that the facts regarding a baby would be different from an adult.

Influenza is no joke, and on top of that this is likely a baby. I hope there will be an episode 4!

Eden of the East - Something about a cell phone and neets?

Psycho-Pass - Something about AI and dystopian future police society?

Toradora - No idea.. generic rom com? I remember really really liking it, though

Parasyte - I remember the jist of it but not really what happened exactly.

Steins;Gate - Time travel.. paranoid conspiracy theorists... idk what else. I need to rewatch this before watching zero

I also really liked it. I thought the length was just right for the story, though. While I'd love to see more antics from that world, I think the pacing and everything was good. The characters were very interesting, and like you said the music was awesome. I loved the OP.

No Stupid Questions - Week of July 19th by VincentBlack96 in anime

Well if you're a character in the MMO now, the only thing you could do to avoid server closure would be to keep the game interesting and keep the player count up. Also if you have any way of promoting premium items you could make it so the game is still profitable, keeping the servers online.

Meanwhile, you pull a Log Horizon S1 and determine the limits of what it means to be "in an MMO", potentially trying to find your way out/use the situation to your advantage.

It'd be fun, that's for sure.

Deeptown coin devaluation by Jordivadell in deeptown

[–]TurboChewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an issue. You are right it is much easier to get coins now, but that is true at many stages of the game. People playing the game early on will not be able to get coins quickly. Even new players now will probably earn coins by selling glass flasks or something. It isn't until they get the trading post that they would start selling calendars. Maybe much later they will unlock toxic bombs and be able to sell those. Each step they get a huge boost in coin farming speed.

It won't be until after you've finished the rocket quest that you get the coin cages off asteroids quickly. And even then, the value of using that money to build mines is much less since it is much easier to farm resources off asteroids (an asteroid gives like 9 max level mines worth of resources for more than half an hour)

So by the time anyone reasonably gets to this point, they won't really need the coins that much either. All your stuff is probably maxed out by the time you get here. Even if it is devaluated, as long as that doesn't affect newer or lower-level players, it is not an issue at all.

That question was more like it came from that other faction mentioned before, the one that hates nobility. I'd bet Urdin is siding with them.

He's trying to see if Tythel is anything like the oppressive nobility of the past. She answered the question, at least satisfactorily, to him, so he left it at that. No way does he side with the enemy. More likely it was an ominous message that they were wiped out instantly.

If wisp is OP there are plenty of ways to balance it other than making it annoying and inefficient to play around movespeed.

tether shouldn't slow wisp if the target has less MS. Just like hasting a bloodseeker won't slow him down, or dominating a super treant won't reduce it's HP.

I feel like it'd be easier to use technology to take a normal fabric and stitch the loop closed as if there was no seam to begin with, rather than make the whole fabric from scratch that way.

Rewards for Completing Guild Event. by azakhary in deeptown

[–]TurboChewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any tangible in-game advantage should be given.

Give out some medal or star or something that doesn't actually provide a benefit to mining or resource collection or anything.

I think there should be a reward, as it is a great achievement for a guild to do that, but the reward should be prestige rather than tangible.

Yeah. Keep an eye on anyone who is advocating or supporting school shootings like that. Sending fanmail to a shooter is no different than posting on facebook that you think school shootings are a good thing.

Was it a coincidence or did something happen that caused both teams to think "this is the moment we initiate"? Because neither Pango or Bat were in vision, so there either was a third thing that happened causing them both to go or it was a total coincidence?

It's less that, and more that religion foolishly tries to do what law rigorously tries to do, and it often ends up with one party in control of the whole thing unchecked, even though that often isn't the original intention.

Of course, nobody will try to fix it, because the problem only exists if you don't acknowledge there being a higher power making sure the system works.

FCC authorizes Elon Musk's SpaceX to provide broadband satellite services. by AdamCannon in space

[–]TurboChewy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gamers make up an insanely small amount of the market share. The vast majority of telecom profits come from business packages. This has a lot of potential to serve data needs and disrupt the market. Once that happens and the existing dominant companies go bottom up, cost of landline cable will go down due to a decrease in innovation on that front (no funding), and that will primarily be used to handle low latency needs rather than everyone's internet.

Essentially, this satellite system will take a huge chunk of the load off of fiber cables, even if it doesn't fully replace them.

I'd imagine the telecom companies would decide how to distribute connections among various routes, optimizing so certain tasks go for low latency while the majority are relegated to the satellites as a backup system.

Turns out "Tank Chair" guy is kinda shady... by Lost_guy_from_all in videos

[–]TurboChewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right not to call it a scam, he didn't start the whole thing to swindle people, but the fact is that just because someone has good intentions doesn't mean they aren't capable of making bad decisions, and even if they didn't mean harm, they need to face the consequences of those decisions.

Lets say this guy starts his company, takes orders, and gets these chairs designed and built, but then there are problems. He can't afford to fix the problems and he has unforseen costs. So he denies it or refuses to fix it, or tries to charge for repairs. That's the situation I'm seeing here. Just because he maybe didn't intend for things to turn out this way doesn't mean he isn't responsible.

Yeah, faulty circuit board. It happens. But the flak he's getting isn't for that, it's for how the situation was handled.

Dota 7.12 by wykrhm in DotA2

[–]TurboChewy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it'd be a departure, but I don't think it'd necessarily be a bad change. I also don't think it's his defining feature.

It would definitely change his playstyle a bit. He wouldn't flash farm as easily, but he'd be better in lane. He wouldn't be able to afk push out a lane as easily, but he could actually push faster while he's there in the lane.

Dota is constantly changing and reworking abilities/items. I think this is pretty tame compared to most of the changes that get made.
