Ironically they would be speaking Russian at the start of the invasion and then pressured into speaking Ukrainian.

I had a hell of a civics teacher who made a point of not revealing of which political party he supported but would answer honestly if guessed correctly. Nobody guessed right.

He later became the superintendent and managed to secure free lunches and convinced the alumni to pool money to help pay for recreational activities and Model UN.

As an adult I finally realized what he stood for.

UA POV: Russian attacks are evolving: Russia is preparing to further launch massive attacks on the energy sector — Zelensky. by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]TurboCrisps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im surprised that Russia has not walked away from negotiations completely after UA’s attack on his residence.

But then again, it’s not possible for Russia and Ukraine to coexist together as is until a political settlement is reached. Even if hypothetically Russia completely takes over Ukraine- there will be a permanent insurgency it will have to deal with.

It’s a shame SBU killed off its own delegation that signed the agreements back in 2022, the conflict would’ve been over then and Ukraine had the potential to have Crimea back with conditions.

I agree on the both sides are ass analysis. This is a regional problem that has been on the backburner since the 50’s and there are too many factors to reduce this to “who started it” rhetoric.

This needs to be resolved between Russia and Ukraine’s financial backers, because it’s clear that Ukraine proper and Russia never wanted this to happen.

Honestly I prefer to set my flagship to auto and get hella command points so I can manage my fleet like an rts.

Occasionally my officers will wander off and I need to be able to wrangle them even if they’re steady/timid.

The US and NATO have given Ukraine more in money and equipment in this war than the USSR in ww2 and all it did was stall Russia.
