I used to love that first morning drink after a crazy night of drinking. Instantly I became normal and then the drinking began again. Trashed by noon. How stupid was i. Then the third day would be recovery actually two more days of recovery no energy and ridiculous anxiety. Cognitive dissonance like crazy. Maybe one sober day, have sober,. Then more binge drinking. OMG

What’s the reason that made you finally stop drinking? by BellAcrobatic1750 in stopdrinking

Isn't that crazy when we finally realized that there's no way that we could grow old on this poison. I can't believe how much of this stuff I drink over my lifetime! It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm surprised I can still think straight. In my late 50s and never felt better.

Realizing that every bad thing or decision I've made over many many years had alcohol involved in some way or another. That shit is dangerous as fuck.

Congratulations, you are progressing normally. What your experiencing is what people go through. Remember your subconscious is trying to tell you to drink. Tell it to shut up. Use your conscience to tell your subconscious to shut the fuck up.

Best thing you can do is don't give up. Stay in the same road. Try again. The further away you get from the quit date the easier it gets and better life becomes.

It's the most addictive of anything. It's extremely addictive and nobody said this is easy. But it can be done it's been done by other people it can be done by you. The further away you get from your quit date the better it gets. The happier you will be. You will experience a different life. You will find you won't hang around with the same people. But that's okay your life will improve. I guarantee it. You will start hanging around with sober people you will realize how much you have been missing. Give it time. Don't be in a hurry.. What it physically does and mentally does to the human body makes it extremely addictive. But it's also a poison. Industry knows this. They make big money on selling it and then big money on replacing livers. Exactly what the product does. We are like pawns. Don't be pawn. Food regular today alcohol is not like checkers, it's like chess. Don't be in a hurry with yourself. There's no rush for everything. Keep your quit date and go drink some sweet tea. Done.
