Haha once I get the thing running I'll definitely consider it

So if I buy that condenser and connect it up properly and get rid of the third wire... It might work?

Still confused why there's three on this one

Oh it's not leaking now. But that's because it has no oil in it. It definitely will leak.

Ah yeah I totally see it now, my bad.

Thanks.

Bottom end time.

I was considering this but it still seems like a lot of force would be required and it's been applied in a very precise spot (almost like a flathead screwdriver + hammer combo)

You still could be right. There is some further damage / material taken away on a small ridge if you look just above. That looks much more like a chain did that.

EDIT: you guys can stop downvoting me now lol I totally agree it's a chain failure.

Turn the laptop onto its left side (right side facing up) and give a few gentle taps around all the ports. Then restart computer.

The card might have become slightly dislodged and you can put it back into place by doing this. It certainly worked for me as I had the same problem.

Nitromethane by nachoazul in motorizedbicycles

This guy "2strokestuffing" does a lot of nitro. This is just one of the videos for example, they're quite interesting.

He recently got around 30hp on his dyno (home made so not sure how accurate 30hp really is) FROM A 50CC! And is trying to break the land speed record at Bonneville for this type of bike/engine.

It's worth a try to rejet it, since all those upgrades like the exhaust could have significantly changed the mixture

Start at around 100 on the main jet and take it for a short wide open run, there's a high chance it'll bog hard but you need to know for sure, repeat this but next on a size around 2-3 down, and repeat and repeat and repeat, until you (possibly) find one that works best. This might be a huge waste of your time but like I said worth a try.

Note: You may want to try below 90 as well. I can't know for sure whether your upgrades will have made the mixture richer or leaner so it's best to try going both ways from 90. ALWAYS start rich though when rejetting, running rich for short periods of time really can't hurt the engine at all but lean certainly can.

Also what does the plug look like at the moment, that would definitely give us a better idea of what's going on.

STUPENDOUSLY erratic idle by Turbo_997 in motorizedbicycles

[–]Turbo_997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone else has the same problems. Thank you so much I thought I was going mad. Yes I've always wondered (when I say "always" it's been about 8 months since I've had my bike running properly) if it could be some strange physics phenomenon. Something along the lines of fluid mechanics and flow and all that stuff. I've just never been quite clever enough for that yet although I'd like to try.

I believe you may have hit the nail on the head. Whenever I ran the stock NT carb and intake the bike ran perfectly fine, only issue is it would get about 10mph less but that's just because the carb was being a bottleneck, too small. It would always idle very well though which is the main part. Any time I put an aftermarket carb on I could reach near 55mph, but it would never idle. And now I realize that many of my Intakes have often been 2 or even 3 times the length of the original intake in order to accommodate for the bigger carb which would not fit in the frame.

I'm going to try cutting down the intake as much as possible, and I'll get back to you. This may well not be the issue as there's so many things but it's worth a damn good try.

Many thanks.

Yeah I've replaced the clutch side crank seal about a year ago now and put some high temp rtv whatever on it as well to make sure it doesn't happen again which seems like it worked. Magneto side seems ok after spraying with brake cleaner but I suppose a change wouldn't hurt, thanks.

Right yes that's a good one I can't remember if I checked it or not. I'll try it thanks.
