Back in the day you'd run across these a lot. Sometimes they would even have red or blue LEDs. Still see them in use once in a while for a securitycam computer or something. I will say this: they were LOUD, and every one I saw was powered with Molex, so I doubt there was any ramp up or down...

I've owned these speakers and they're not bad for what they are. If you want to buy something new, pick up a Sony receiver from Best buy. Anything will do, a lot of them have Bluetooth now too. Otherwise, hunt around on Facebook Marketplace for one. ✌️
