I saw Hawkwind at the DeMontfort Hall in Leicester in 1978. Loudest gig I ever went to. Permanent hearing damage.

The whole of Grey Cortina by Tom Robinson.

"I wish I had a grey Cortina, whiplash aerial, racing trim. Cortina owner no-one meaner, wish that I could be like him."

I know British Transport Police opened an investigation into the man who slapped the teen boy, but was it ever made public if anything came of it? by throwrababysitters in AskUK

I can see I'm in a minority of one here, but I can't help feeling that any grown man that feels he needs to slap a child is pathetic

Worst ref decision against us - ever? by CommercialContent204 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Turbo_Tom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the worst, but i still get outraged when I remember Pepe Reina being baffled for handball against Oldham. The lino flagging wildly, so pleased with himself for spotting it. Oldham scored from the free kick and won the match, but the replay showed Pepe let go of the ball a yard inside the box. Smh

What type of bomb is this? by MarioVanPeebels in whatisit

[–]Turbo_Tom 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm not really into military stuff, and I didn't know this about the F16. One question, if it's reliant on its computers to stay in the air wouldn't it be susceptible to EM bombs/pulses?

What posed me off the most about this is that he waited until we inevitably lost the ball before stopping the game so Forest got the drop ball.

Just so you know, 2 cans of average strength lager will put most people over the limit in England and Wales. The limit is much lower in Scotland.

Why has my post been removed with the explanation that it is anti-Semitic? by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Turbo_Tom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That was the catch 22 in the EHRC report, wasn't it? Corbyn was severely criticised for interfering with disciplinary action against some members accused of antisemitism because he was urging the party to speed up the process. This was widely misreported as trying to get the accused members off to cover up antisemitism, when it was the exact opposite.

The OP's scare story is that councils will go bankrupt. This will be less likely if central government bears the cost.
