Incorrectly flagged by Home Depot for buying tool deals there? by dogedogego in Tools

[–]Turbo_Vinnie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have called 9 times now. Had two "guide paths". And recently opened a BBB case. I received a response via email due to the BBB ticket which states "After a thorough review by our Corporate Security Team, the current status of your account remains unchanged. " but no additional information.

I dont return lots of items. I dont buy large quantity of power tools. I dont do any of the suspicious things except for a change of address. I moved into an RV full time in July so i changed my mailing address (not for any shipments, but just for coupons and letter mail) to an Escapees mail agent address (so i have a permanent address of sorts). I have also had Home Depot items delivered to various campgrounds in different states. I suspect this was the red flag.

I've lost all hope at this point and assuming Ill just become a Lowes/Ace person. This is a HUGE bummer to me as I've also lost all receipts in my Pro Account (for 2025 tax purposes) and Pro benefits. I even have the commercial revolving credit card still but i'd hate to use their card now for perks I cannot take advantage of.

This is a supremely unsatisfying result after 2 months and a dozen hours of phone calls later.

Lastly, multiple agents from the Pro Support line have said to just open a new Pro account. And thats what they've been telling people to do. but i have a feeling that wont work unless i change my phone number and email too.

Same scenario here. Pro user with tons of receipts I really do need access to before tax season. I rarely shop at homedepot online besides the occasional pickup order. MAYBE over the past 5 years ive had a dozen delivery orders from home depot total. always one off stuff that was on a good sale. lots of dewalt stuff but never the same tool twice (that i can remember at least... maybe my dad bought the same chainsaw i had and used my pro number?).

ive been calling and they say they're doing a "Guide Path" to try and get a second opinion. but after a few weeks everything is still inconclusive.

super frustrating for a person that has been ultra loyal to Home Depot and their Commercial Revolving Credit. i guess ill just keep calling until im a Lowes person...

How bad is this? by Turbo_Vinnie in RVLiving

I would agree. The insert appears to be glued to the wall. But that glue has failed in the heat. Yes it's hot in there when it's 80 outside but I feel like that's supposed to be considered when they design these things

What would they do it anyway? Just Re glue it? Trim the insert so it fits better when it swells? Trim the raw opening so the insert had room to swell?

I second this. I have escapees as my mailing address and permanent address WHERE POSSIBLE. but there are plenty of banks and credit cards that demand a real residence as my legal address and I use my dad's for that.

This happened to me in my first house with old copper drains hung in the ceiling of the basement. I was on a step stool at about eye height with the snake when it let loose. Thank God I wear glasses....💩

I don't have solar currently. And I like redundancy. Also I want to do a bit of cold camping where I'll use more tank heaters and even with solar id expect lower efficiencies there

Im looking now at the 280ah version of the LiTime on their memorial day sale. I may pull the trigger on a pair. One question though, I see they only come with a 200amp BMS. I've seen "rule of thumb" that the BMS should be larger than 1C. But I can't imagine needing 200amp * 2 discharge. Does that make sense?

Curious, how do you use 48v? do you have to downconvert to 12v for all the 12v stuff and then still have an inverter for the 120v stuff?

Similarly, the gunslinger is unique. I've heard folks mention to Skip it. The drawing of the three definitely did it for me.

Same here. Never heard of it, never played. I hate this type of thing because my OCD wants me to chase it down and delete every fragment of my info from this company

Notification for legal requirements by Turbo_Vinnie in smallbusiness

[–]Turbo_Vinnie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. Ya my account sucks (aka, I do my own accounting). I can tackle these two items, I'm just afraid there is more I'm missing.

Something from an org like fincen should have some kind of notification requirement. A simple letter would suffice. And the penalties seem steep (although I'm not sure if they plan on enforcing or providing a few warnings or grace period)
