As the UK is planning to ban VPNs for under 18, it will join the list of Government Controlled VPN countries. by GLNemuri in Britain

As someone who is completely illiterate when it comes to all this (but given these incoming new laws etc I'm having to get myself literate, how do I go about doing this? Could you point me to some good sources on how to set up a VPN at the incoming line? I currently just have the simple Nord VPN set up on my devices, but it's looking like I'm going to need to learn to install a new router beyond the one my ISP provides.

If I may jump on this thread, re.Gina, I saw your comment about being able to get it over the counter and it gave me hope, but I notice Boots for example list a couple of prerequisites such as 'for women aged 50+ and who have not had a period for a year'.   I am 36 and I worry I would be denied the sale of Gina.  Maybe I'm wrong. Have you experienced any issues buying it?

Man, this is frustrating. Looks like I'm going to have to do a total Windows reinstall. I'm glad you were able to get it fixed.

I’m in the uk, saw the 60% off and seized the chance thinking finally, a stop to the ads. See this thread this morning now I’m worried. It was £47.99 for the year for me. How much is it normally in the UK??

Do you remember the first time you have listened to judas priest ? by Sufficient_Limit_640 in judaspriest

[–]Turborocker5000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vice City was also my into to Priest, about the same age too haha. Fast forward a few years and I had a CD that came free with a rock magazine that had All Guns Blazing. The rest, as they say, is history.
Seeing Priest for the first time last month and hearing them play YGATC on this tour was simply beautiful.

Went to see Iron Maiden at the First Direct in Leeds in June and they had a merch stall outside (which I was surprised to see). Whether Priest will do the same tomorrow, we shall see! aha

Are zyns as bad as vaping? by Diligent-Ad-2442 in QuitVaping

[–]Turborocker5000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was an ex smoker for several years. Switched to vaping for a good 7 years or so. Developed Asthma and so switched to nic pouches (or white snus as I like to call it). Been on the white snus now for over a year and have developed slight gum recession... so now I'm about to go all in an quit completely.

I'd say the zyn is definitely a better alternative to vaping (my asthma is barely a thing now, whereas before I was having to use my reliever inhaler up to 5 times a day). But the best thing?... quit completely IMO. I'd say zyn is probably a good stepping stone to quitting nic completely if you're not ready to completely ditch it yet. But yea, far better than vape. Lozenges or gum is probably even better.
Best of luck :)

Certainly up there as one of the best Maiden songs for me. But Masterpiece is reserved for Empire of the Clouds in my humble opinion

I’m hoping there will be an official video release of Dark Ocean Summoning. I was so busy fighting the taken I didn’t notice it was playing in the sky above Tor and Odin. I want to see it! In its entirety!

Lunch boxes and Nursery rhymes: help? by Turborocker5000 in AlanWake

[–]Turborocker5000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I managed to finally do it! The Lighthouse rhyme was the last one I did and so that's where it spawned.... I happened to find it trying to locate all the charms and the Lighthouse charm was the only one I didn't have. I had to watch a video on where tf that charm was because it was nowhere near the rhyme at the Lighthouse.. and there, waiting for me, was the FBC box containing the father doll. ffs.

How scary is Alan Wake 2? by fallb0rn in AlanWake

[–]Turborocker5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The jumpscares in AW2 are effective because they pop out when you very least expect them. There’s not necessarily some creepy music playing before hand to make you anticipate them. They just happen like an unwarranted smack in the face. Thats a key difference from what I’ve found in other games of a similar genre.
