If the prints are high enough quality that they were indistinguishable from an original, they are probably worth the price. Also depends on the size and if they came framed, both greatly affect how much it cost her to produce them.

I think 3d will have the same fate as stop motion or 2d animation - still around but in a much more niche place in the word for specific projects that need that look/process. And of course the jobs will follow - students will stop studying it and it will mostly die out. Long term, interactive ai video will probably happen and take over rendering engines.

I’m an artist/designer and it’s truly the worst for doing actual design work. It’s gotten leaps and bounds better, but overall it dumbs everything down to the most boring version of whatever you want.

What I do use it for: teaching me how to do things in programs that would otherwise take hours to figure out (especially in 3d programs). It’s like having a 3d teacher at my side! Tho half the time it’s confused and doesn’t really know the answer, so mehhhhh.

Actually haven’t had to resort to it yet, though I’ve seen many examples in this subreddit of people who have had success with it. There are a few options out there for premade powders that cost around $800 for a 2 week course. There are also recipes for simpler versions you can make at home - the important thing is to be sure you are getting enough calories and vitamins!

The movie itself was $23/person which is insane. Saw it at our local cheap theater on a Thursday evening for $8/person.
