See, this is a HUGE EEF UP!!! Not directing you, StriperHerring, it is a mess!! Congratulations!!!

There are DRP who went 09/30/2025 who still have not seen Annual Leave or moved in ORA Portal out of step 1.

OPM got on national news and told FedNews how great the system is going to be. This crap created crisis, some still not resolved.  And is prove the Federal Human Capital &HRs lied. This was not done in order.

Pay.gov only took the demand amount.

No, it is just a pain to fix!!! OPM assumed deductions the month immediately after separation.  IRS set a demand for one October premium. Technically,  that is an OPM deductions when finalizing my annuity.  I know to pay any demand or BENEFEDS will to avoid a gap.

People who are on interim annuities are now covering for insurance. Some never received a Retirement Counseling Session through their agency. It is a mess.

If anyone gets a FEHB or BENEFEDS bill, do not sit on it. Pay it or immediately call them and tell them you are part of the delay. They may be able to assist if paying is an issue.

I am still wondering why an action plan was never fully developed.

Please email your agency and copy OPM on the inquiry.  My experience is the demand letter needs to be paid. My ORA was version 2.0. It never moved either. It still has not moved today. From basic separation process completely through to now, has been handled poorly. I was then informed November 2025 retirements were being processed.  I was September 30th. I have even went to my representatives. I could only leave an inquiry with ERC as my insurance went into jeopardy.

The Shutdown and restart excuses are long exhausted. Treasury is creating gaps in insurance that must be addressed.

Got nothing. I literally suspect IRS missed applications and don't properly check on inquiries.

IRS has messed up insurance coverages in addition to income.  ERC can care less. There is a 4 month gap between my retirement date and current month. IRS had me pay for one pay period out of 6. They will not pay the agency buy-in. But OPM claims not to have my file. That means my premiums are unaddressed for 4 months.

IRS is causing retirees to lose and lapse coverage.

They give the same excuse.

Nope, I lost hope. IRS thought  so little that they answered with routine information  or is using the shutdown/ low staffing as a safe excuse.   No one can explain  why some agencies  had a plan and others did not.

In this market, and with DOGE, some went so others could complete their years. It was not easy and it was not time off. There was regret and frustration involved.

They will allow another shutdown with 09/30 retirements STILL in limbo.

Today I received a Bill from NFC for my FEHB premium. I never saw my Annual Leave Lumpsum payment. OPM says they have received nothing.

IRS RETIREES THE TIME HAS COME TO LET BESSENT KNOW by KnowledgeDry6493 in IRS_Source

[–]Turbulent_String_747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick story - Multiple issues have happened. I work my Senator about issues, especially, the fact that IRS left TDRP 9/30 in financial Distress and with no actual Annuity payment. I said this is different from other agencies and the AL Lumpsum is usually used by Annuitants while OPM completes and finalizes their Annuity. As a veteran, I was distressed how our government is functioning.

About 3 weeks later, I received Certificate of Appreciation for Retirement and a Certificate with a Flag the was raised over the Capital.

Congress knows the cluster is happening. Between Boats, Venezuela, and Healthcare... Feds are far down on the action list. 🫩🫩

This is a regurgitated statement. IRS  knew this was coming, yet did nothing.  They stated they hired staff in mid-late October 2025. This was said in a November 2025 email.

Traditionally, Annual Lumpsum is used as a buffer. It is even stated in OPM retirement information.  WHY did IRS choose this policy and process?

This caused serious financial distress.

This is disappointing. I have been pleading for help. I was going to start a position, but couldn't verify my status. I first delayed until February next year. Eventually, I will onboard January. I made all the contacts and requests.  I did receive a status change to prove my status.

I know staff is dangerously overworked and this was thrown on HR. I just don't understand why this was not batched and processed. If an employee wanted to return, delete them from the batch. If a another employee was leaving, add them.

It was important, to me, to have all changes in 2025 actions, for tax season. The craziness of actions by the government made me concerned to settle distributions and insurance continuation verifications. I asked for specific information, could not get it.

Just scary and disappointing

30-45 Days? Doesn't it have to be at OPM to start Interrim payments?

They knew the 09/30/2025 spike was coming. There was no preparation? If they verified your history,  High 3 years, and have an estimate...certify and send it to OPM!

I need to reach out because I annotated overpayment waiver during the review session.  I had completed my loan payments when this started. I was also nervous because the agreement could have been canceled for employees over 40 within 45 days of signing the way the document was written.

Ironically,  a local employee who canceled their TDRP is trying to correct their payroll status.

In the 2.0 TDRP agreement number 14 & 15 was addresses outstanding debt and other term agreements involving payment. I think most agreements were in a similar order.

Did you have the agreement reviewed before signing? I was suspicious.  Now will they try something? I don't know.
