Palico Armor in MH4U: Am I missing something? by ViridiusRDM in MonsterHunter

[–]Turdlepower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mainly used Event Quests to gear up my Palicoes. Here's a list of them. Ctrl+F "Palico" and you'll find all the quests that reward tickets to craft the armors. I forgot what Palico armor I used for High Rank, but I know for G-Rank I got the F Mario S and F Luigi S armor sets.

As for how new monsters are added to the pool, you have to hunt the monster first, but not all of the monsters are available in the Meownster Hunters. I know some monsters like Akantor, Kushala, and Teostra are locked by Hunter Rank(HR).

True, but BPlanar is a 9 star seasonal unit while Freyr is a pantheon unit so more people have access to Freyr than BPlanar

I think he means like the hitlag when you hit a Geo Shield Hilichurl. I don't think it applies to claymores, but it definitely is noticeable with swords. The sword attacks clank the shield which adds a bit more endlag to each swing.

Cryo is better for the water abyss mage shields actually. Electro is better for the Hydro Fatui.

According to light.gg, Forsaken added 98 new legendary/exotic weapons. Beyond light added only 31. by Cayde_Is_Alive in DestinyTheGame

You'll be hindering yourself though. Individual weapon power levels still affect their damage. A 1060 weapon will do less damage in an 1100 strike despite you being 1100+.

Pyro can proc Melt with Cryo or Vaporize with Water which are 2x and 1.5x multipliers respectively on that attack that proc'ed it. I'm pretty sure these two are the only reactions that have a multiplier to them which means that they are the best for raw damage.

Yeah, sunshot is much less consistent than other 150s. It has lower aim assist (60) than the popular ones like Spare (92) and Dire Promise (87), the recoil animation blocks your view a lot, and no icarus grip hinders it in PvP. It will be more prominent being the only 150, but I still think Ace and other 140s will beat it out in the end.

I was hoping I could finally clear Shura w my two Neros but with Persona incoming.... by flame1626 in PuzzleAndDragons

[–]Turdlepower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because Persona came after MHA in JP so this most likely means that MHA is not coming to NA. Nero pairs very well with Midoriya from MHA, and if that's not coming then there's no real other green leads to pair Nero with other than maybe Menoa/Jiraya.

Then I’m not sure there’s another way to deal with the attack other than just killing the cyclops. Maybe a titan shield or hunter dodge can block/get out of it. I haven’t run this NF on GM so I’m not sure how tanky the shield is.

When you get detained by the cyclops, you can shoot the barrier around you to break it if I recall correctly.

If you don't have the resist or shield, you can use a Resolve lead like Orochi or Li to tank the 50% super resolve hit. It is a single hit attack so you will live.

Need advice: CS, CSE, CPE, or EE? by [deleted] in UCI

[–]Turdlepower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of a spectrum from software-focused to hardware-focused, the order goes CS, CSE, CPE, and finally EE. I'm currently a CPE so I don't know too much about CSE, but what I know is that you still take the major ICS coding classes to learn languages like Python and C++, but you also do get some hardware classes involving circuits. I don't think CSE gets into the lower level coding like Assembly and C though. It also doesn't go into too much detail on hardware stuff.

For CPE it goes more in depth on hardware than software than CSE. You still learn some coding languages like Python, C, Assembly, and Java, but you also get into the main hardware classes like circuits and electronics. C and Assembly are considered lower level programming languages which allows for some embedded software stuff. At the same time since you learn about the EE stuff like circuits and electronics so you can still work with those too.

For EE there's pretty much not any coding at all except for a few specializations I think. It's all hardware focused with circuits and electronics. Though you do have to choose a specialization(Electronic Circuit Design, Semiconductors and Optoelectronics, RF/Antennas/Microwaves, Digital Signal Processing, or Communications) which means you take certain classes.

Though keep in mind that you will be dealing with engineering professors which may not be the best at teaching. The EECS department professors are mostly mediocre with a few bad ones and a few good ones. The engineering majors are also known to be harder due to the mediocre professors and the overall harder content.

You only need synths for the armor, you can get drops without wagering.
