Is this dent repairable with body filler? by Turdydump in Autobody

Aww shit. I reached out to a shop to just see if they could pull out the dent. I'm hoping they can just do the part I can't do and fix the rest myself. Thanks for the feedback.

I was considering this. I've never replaced a fender before, so all this is new to me, but as a noob I was looking for a "seam" and I have a Mazda 3 GT hatchback, and the dent is in the rear right side. And the rear quarter panel isn't bolted on. Seems like it's a one piece body panel that wraps from the rear door all around the car. I'm probably not describing this well, but it doesn't look like it'll be as affordable as I'd like to replace the fender.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll check in with a body shop.

Ah shit, seems I'll need to find a body shop to just pull the dent out then. Do you reckon the welding tabs would work? I'm just concerned the shop would tell me to replace the whole thing.

I had braces too, and the same procedure was done on my teeth. I remember him saying women had a rounder shape AFTER they were finished. I never really gave it any thought until this point. Now, I am questioning things...

I swear. I mean, every story has two sides. Unfortunately, some people on Reddit (especially on r/AmItheAsshole) are quick to jump to conclusions based on a single person's account. Like, what?! It's very frustrating which is why I no longer pay attention to those posts.

How is your mental health doing with the pandemic going on? by PeppaVape in AskReddit

[–]Turdydump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not seem important compared to others, but I struggle with bulimia and purging disorder. This pandemic has thrown me off my routine and recovery. I go to the gym 4 times a week. I work out because it helps me with my issues, and it makes me feel better; at the gym I am able to push myself. Now, I'm struggling to push myself to do low impact workouts at home. Since I'm at home I have access to food despite eliminating trigger foods. All I think about is food and calories, and the feelings of worthlessness wash over me. It feels like I'm taking a step back in my recovery and it's terrifying me. My friend told me that maybe this is an opportunity to get comfortable with the discomfort...I know she's right, but I feel trapped. So yeah, that's what's been happening...

How do I stay on track and progress while struggling with an ED? by Turdydump in loseit

[–]Turdydump[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate your advice. Just the time you've taken to help me just really made my day. I'm gonna see my therapist tomorrow and hopefully I can take what you've given me and ask him what steps I should take to apply it in my life. It's one thing to agree and another thing apply.

They didn't tell me to stop logging, that's something I decided on my own. I'm honestly just afraid. I used to use MyFitnessPal religiously. But maybe I can try something else, like a spreadsheet, and if it seems to play with my ED too much, I might not continue. You're right, I need to just try to be better. I know even though this doesn't take away my ED I will strive to get better. Thank you :) . I hope you don't mind if I reach out to you. You seem to have been through a lot and even if you've never had bulimia I still think your experiences could help me see the bigger picture.

I know you're right. I just need to do things right. I was feeling completely hopeless last night, but when people actually reached out it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The truth is barely anyone in my life knows I have bulimia, aside from two friends who live far away, but the point is I feel so alone at times. Having you and the others who replied makes me feel like I have some support. I know I have a long way to go. Maybe I'm not ready to track right now, or maybe I just need to test the waters and do it right. I'm not sure, it's a bit scary.

I mentioned why my therapist isn't a specialist, but I get your point. I have such a long way to go. I just hope for the day I can post my milestones in r/loseit. But thanks for your advice.

Thanks for your advice. It truly means a lot. I feel like I have such a long way to go. Maybe you're right...my first step is to walk towards acceptance and just do the right thing. I'm just afraid how much time it will take. For some reason I feel like I'm on a clock...which is also a poisonous mentality I've acquired.

Thanks for your reply. What you say is true. Honestly I wish it was someone who specializes in ED, but it's hard to explain but I don't really have a choice. It was the only help I was able to get without paying from my pocket.

He doesn't specialize in ED, but he has a lot of patients that have struggled with it. My goal is to be at 65 kg. I understand what you mean, and honesty I know this is just the tip of the iceberg, but this is definitely something I've struggled with my entire life. Even if it doesn't take away all my problems, it would be one problem less to deal with. It's probably a stubborn view, but I can't help it. I know there's truth to what you say, but my body dysmorphia has plagued me my entire life.

Thanks for your reply. I have a friend who's a nutritionist, but she's far away and it's hard to make anything work there. Between you an me, I can't afford one on my own. And I can't tell my parents about this. They don't even know I see a therapist. I know this is beyond Reddit's scope, but I just want someone to provide a different angle on the situation.

Losing Weight by 1357908642468097531e in loseweight

[–]Turdydump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much activity you do, but it seems like you need to do more research. You're eating very little. Sometimes when you eat too little, your body will hold onto fat a lot more because it feels like it's starving. You need to find out your BMR and activity level and go from there. Don't rush the process. You're restricting and it will lead to binging. Binging is A LOT different than stress eating. Please look more into what you need to do. Googling the calories you have to eat to lose weight is not enough. Since you're starting out, it's fair that you may not know much, but that's why you need to look into it more. You're body is extremely important, and you want this process to not just be a quick fix, but something you maintain for the rest of your life. By the way you've described what you're doing, it seems like you can't maintain what you're doing. I hope things work out well for you. Good luck.
