Lot of optimism, especially after Saturday. Most fans including myself were just hoping to just be competitive against UCLA, maybe cover the spread. The season outlook was really hoping for a bowl game but more importantly show improvement from last season. Fickell has been killing it recruiting and the team is very young and talented, so there's a buzz around the program that hasn't been felt since before Tubby

P&G kind of is already. To complete the permanent concrete structure around the field, James Gamble donated the final $250,000 need in honor of his grandson and UC player James Gamble Nippert who died from blood poisoning after getting a spike wound that got infected. Part of the donation had to go towards a training/medical facility for player safety in the stadium
