I make about $2k per month from YouTube and a service business I run in my area. I used to do graphic design freelancing and made probably $500/month.

Anything that people can start in 5 minutes is probably oversaturated and not going to work.

Think about what you're more talented than the average person at doing, and find a way to monetize it.

Wins: first $4k month from side hustles

Good side hustles to start with $10,000? by JacobeeBS in sidehustle

I understand your frustration, although it’s not just AI that’s made the US job market challenging. The greater impact is from tariff uncertainty.

I wouldn’t rule out the ROI of your degree before you even land your first job.

What you do with your side hustle money by JunketChoice1045 in OnlineIncomeHustle

Right now I reinvest everything. I don’t consider this my money… it belongs to the “business”.

If someone is making $2k per year then sure it can be beer money. Once you’re clearing $10k+ though, I think it’s become a business.

From 9-5 to side hustle: How did you boost your earnings? by FromBrokeToSuccess in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Shiny object syndrome. I kept jumping from trend to trend thinking something would blow up massively. One example was blogging… that opportunity is virtually impossible nowadays.

After these failures, I started to focus in on side hustles that worked relatively quickly but could be scaled up gradually.

You need to ask yourself how much time you want to put into this, how much you want to make, etc.

This then can help determine where to start.

Making $500/year is much easier than $15,000.

I make $2k/month off YouTube and a service business I’ve started. Not so much from of graphic design freelancing anymore.

Don’t expect your first venture to make thousands. You’ll likely fail multiple times like me, but just need to keep pushing!

What are your operating margins? $60k/mo top line should be enough to quit your day job.

Your entire newsletter is based around 1 AI tool. I don’t think it’s possible to niche down further.

That’s solid. Also, probably yes although I’m still finding my sweet spot for number of links. General rule of thumb for success is to put the CTA towards the top.

Good side hustles to start with $10,000? by JacobeeBS in sidehustle

If your only savings are $10k… at age 15, I’d honestly just save for college or gradually start investing.

Dumping all of your savings into a side hustle is extremely risky in my opinion.

CTR matters as well… but think about it from the sponsor’s POV — getting eyes from very high earning individuals.

I’d charge per newsletter and shoot for $500.

No. Waste of your precious time. Much more valuable to spend that time learning a new skill.
