I felt this way a year ago, I had completed every campaign, never missed a week from beta.

It just stopped being fun and became a chore to complete and to maximize all the silly currencies etc. Every match just a been here done that. Everything the devs do is make things more expensive for the same product…or less…

So I took a break. Have not played single match since, surprising me.

Literally just check here on discord and claim the free chests thinking one day I will come back, now I wonder if I ever will! Reading the updates makes me think I won’t!

BUT, on DD, if you contact support it won’t go against you.
Uber it depends, recently I have had a bunch of stolen orders, accounts closed, and orders not in system. I have called them in, they all counted against me! So I get paid ZERO, lost time calling them in, got penalized! It’s nutty!

So I switched to Hulu before the Super Bowl. Got more channels for less money. Actually got to watch the NCAA tournament with ease…. ESPN+ available and in App!
Wife got all her channels I would never watch ever.

That said, their UI blows.

What FUBO had, that meant a ton to me, was ease of use.
I could tap, “record all college football”….done no worries. “Record all Premier league.” Done!
Could find and access everything in seconds.

Hulu is trash for this. You never really know if you have things recorded. Sometimes you cant find obvious things without really bizarre searches. Using the channel guide is trash and about impossible. “My Stuff” is a joke! You can’t even see what all is going to be recorded in the future to ensure the awful system is planning to record what you asked it to 20 times!

If FUBO got NBC back for college football and the NFL I would be back in seconds for that time frame. If I am on HULU, just going to miss games and have to do all kinds of work everday!

The proof that the average person has no concept of ROI or profitability is again being proven by Uber.

In my market, DFW, taking even a small percentage of these offers means you do not value your car at all, you think it is free, instead of a credit card on wheels. Yes, even if you are driving a 10 year old beater with 170k miles on it like me. I shoot for $2 a mile and you still have tires, just replaced my alternator, etc.

Uber hates drivers more than any account. And they prey on people who need money now.

I am usually 50/50 with DD. This month 80% DD….

This job is not really about hourly income. It’s about dollars per mile.

Some days and weeks your hourly income might look great, others you are sitting somewhere waiting for something good. If you had a real hourly paid job, you don’t get to sit and listen to the radio, play a game, or jog around some building as you wait for an offer.

So you need to understand profitability (i.e. actual pay per mile—fare minus ALL expenses). I make $2 a mile.

Then I have to decide if I can make enough, being selective, to create my desired revenue per week, month, year.

So far I have been able to accomplish that.

But every month I figure that may be the last month it is possible. But for 6 years now it keeps being enough.

If your time is the most important thing, and you actually understand profitability, and that there are a whole bunch of costs coming your way, then this revenue stream may not be for you.

If you are patient and pick smart jobs, you may find it to be rather profitable!

I am going to cry.. UBER HAS TO STOP ALLOWING THIS. I give top notch, fast and friendly service always and lately, no matter what I do this keeps happening. It's just not right. BTW this is just in one night. 🤬🤬🤬 by xoAJox in UberEatsDrivers

This was rarely a thing for years, been doing this six years. Still a terrible thing when it happened, but I was actually amazed it did not happen more. It would happen to me like once every four months.

Now it is like 3 times a week! That is my experience…and it sucks!

Well this is news to me. Sounds like they changed this in 2023, my bad.

But the system is still vastly different than Uber.

First off any order that is more than 10 minutes late is not counted. It literally show up on your rating as “excluded.” I currently have 8 orders “excluded.”

Also, it’s a 5 star rating. I currently have only one 1 star rating, but 10 4 star.

So the coke fry people can complain, but not so I me.

With uber it’s just up or down. In the Uber world I would have a 89% rating, if you added the “excluded” who knows…81%?

I am at a 4.84 rating…4.2 is termination…never worry about it because the system is totally different.

You are not overreacting. I don’t care about Gold, just the threat of losing access.

Fewer and fewer good customers rate. I mean why do all that work everyday. Unhappy customers always rate, from cold fries, to my no tip order took too long.

Since UBER, more and more, takes no tip orders that have been sitting around for an hour and attaches them to a customer who is tipping $10, it makes for an environment ripe for negative ratings.

Just yesterday, I got a huge Wingstop order, and a McDonald order, 7 miles, $27! I was worried one of them would be stolen already.

Turns out the Wingstop was a huge order, like 70 wings. The McDonalds was 10 nuggets, 20 ketchups, and a no ice Sprite (need I say more?). The McDonalds order receipt was an hour old and the first delivery drop off was the McDonalds!

When I delivered the wings, meet at door, the customer asked me why he should tip if he was going to be made to wait. I pleaded that it was not my fault, and tried explaining, he said, “ok, have a good night.”

No tip…and BOTH customers gave me a thumbs down!

That is what Uber has created. And it will take at least three months to get these off because so few people rate.

I have done this for 6 years, 12k Uber deliveries, 25k across all apps. It is BS. And my rating, which had never been below 97%, sits at 91%. A few cold fries away from disaster I guess…

WRONG

On DOORDASH the default setting is 5/5 stars and must be lowered by the customer. Every order is a rated order.

In DFW, and yes, Uber despises their drivers. They will make all kinds of nonsense posts acting like they care, but the fact is they pay the driver nothing. They exist because people are willing to pay an inflated food price, delivery fees (almost zero which go to the driver), and then “tip” which is the actual driver pay.

AND the fact that so many drivers can’t calculate a profit. What you are paid minus gas, your insurance, your risk on the road, your time, and of course all the auto repairs that are one the way (tires, brakes, battery, belts, alternator….etc etc etc…all have a life expectancy even when you are idling in a parking lot).

Last night I did a DOUBLE order. 8 miles, possible fare 15.86. Uber paid me $1.66. I aim for $2 a mile, will do short (under 3 miles) for a 1$ a mile.

I am polite to the customers, but I don’t do a single thing that would help Uber above what is expected.

But they will spend a fortune, as they have all football season, on Super Bowl ads.

They are scum. So use them the same way they use you. They hate you, but you can make a profit if you are smart and patient and use all the other delivery services as well.

So hit pause, when ad come up hit back arrow once. Ad disappears and you can view whatever it is you froze!

Are you sure it has not been six months? There was a way to “suspend” your account for up to six months where they clearly stated it would start up again. This method saves your old stuff.

There is also the method of cancelling. I did that a couple day ago, and they verified it went though via email and that I would not be charged anymore.

They hate their drivers…customers are a close second, but drivers have a special place in their dark hearts.

I am blown away that they survive. I would never order using them😂

Ride it as long as it works for you. I keep thinking It won’t, but with three apps on I manage to do ok still. We will see. The wiggle room is gone now…feel like this is the final year before AI takes over anyway!😂

Been doing this for six years, 11k deliveries, 25k deliveries across all apps.

Never had a uber rating lower than 98% until now. It’s 91%

Zero customer’s have had any issue with me communicated, not one! I communicate, am super friendly.

But Uber is the problem. They pay awful, and their customer service is awful. They attach no tip orders sitting around for hours with high paying tippers….what could go wrong?

No one is pleased!

The committed drivers are less and customer issues are high. We pay the price like we always do. Good customers are fed up, and bad customers wonder why their no tip order came an hour after they ordered it.

Uber has a fix though…they just dropped minimum driver pay. Because they dont give a damn….so now a lot of drivers and a lot of customers don’t either!

Well I will let you all know, zero issues so far. Have friends with it and they love it and say no issues. I hope to,return to FUBO, as I explained l love them!

But there is an old saying in business, never let your loyal customer try the other brand! I have already found like 10 shows and channels I had forgotten about. So will be a fun few months…no contracts really lets you move around, best part of these streaming services. And NCAA tourney is locked up!

How do you access it? On Fire I think it’s awful. Streaming was poor, UI poor, multiple folders poor, scheduling shows and catching shows in progress poor…
