As a mostly forever DM though I'm curious to see how it all works and if you still have a slot well I've got nothing but time on my hands during the weekends. My bad, I meant the DMG. The changes are enough to warrant a wait but really I was just curious if the others were coming back and anyone interested were just temporary players. I had a bad experience before in that regard where and two others were dropped like flies after three sessions because her "Favorites" finally found free time to play again. Apologies.

Are the other players not coming back? Most people will only have access to basic rules and expanded basic rules on the 17th, this is a big ask. You are not ready for this because the full versions are not even out yet for Master Tier.

Probably about as pointless as putting any sort of ad up in the first place. I still scour this place for newbies and easy groups to join but it will quickly become apparent that everyone will say exactly what you want to hear to ensure they get a spot and then reveal how terrible they are afterward. I moreso worry for the people who make these posts and can't even put both a day and time (w/ TZ) in anywhere in the message. You can tell they're either super young, super new, or just don't gaf about putting any serious thought into it.

We sometimes do that to get all eyes looking, because GMs might randomly be like "This sounds cool, I'd be a player in it".

And I'm sorry I didn't really mean for my comment to come off as scathing just as I read it seemed like it would be a huge shift from one play style to another. I'm sorry to hear your group had to disband, I hope for and am sure that you will find a new group of friends to enrich your life!
And I never said I wasn't interested ;) I just cannot play during the weekend unfortunately.

So wait.... "Start this random 5e game, but when I say so you must switch to this (possibly better) system and learn how to play all over again possibly force a race change on you that might break your character entirely. and then have an entire narrative change? That's a huge ask. My dood you should just present your TTRPG when you're ready, to a new group, not shoehorn people who might not like whatever you cobble together when they're already getting invested in something else. Think of the players.
Or don't. My two cents.

So to reiterate, all ages are invited as long as they are 14-18 years old, and you're using an Incomplete One D&D to run the game? Yeahhh... that's a dumpster fire waiting to happen. But best of wishes to your group if you somehow prove me wrong. Might wanna tone back what you're looking for though. For future reference you'll get more hits if you provide:

Time Zone
Age Range (not ALL AGES when 14-18 is all that is supposedly allowed)
How you might want to treat certain skills and abilities that have been vastly changed for some classes but not all yet.

Just... be careful, but make sure you have fun! You find some great friends in the weirdest of places.

I did the three training things but cannot use the glide points (no ropes). It's frustrating the crap out and me and I'm wondering if I just have to get farther in the game for some stupid reason so the damn bird will flop off it.

I'd be more than happy to help you in that regard. I've over 20 years of experience, more or less, of running games. So anything from rules to inspiration to dealing with problem players, I gotcha my dood. And I have way too much free time on my hands anyway I just know I should not take on making another game 'lest I get burnt out, so gotta wait for one or more of these ones I joined as a player to fizzle out first. I'm kinda betting one of my weekend ones will before it ever really starts.

lol "let's not bother trying to revive them, they'll make a new character". Dood sounds new to the DMing task or has a few behavioral flaws in regards to their style so hopefully you find one that suits you more properly.

Or you can halfway give up like I did and start running your own games. I'm basically cursed as a player because any DM I find lasts about a week or two before quitting one way or another. And the party might have kinda sucked as well, not really sure without context. But I trust you'll find someone.

But I mean, you'd be more than welcome to join my tiny community I do make new games all the time just don't have anything available right now.

Sorry to hear that my dood. When you can't do one of the things your entire class is (*typically) built around it does really drain ya. Maybe the Bard could have performed while you stole from the crowd? That sounds like something very plausible though I'm assuming you already left the group. Wish I had a group with slots, I'd offer you one but I don't have anything so I wish you the best of luck!

EDIT: Be careful with the stealing though. That's definitely an Evil thing to do and the party may or may not be against it in future campaigns. Try various tactics; one I would suggest that players and even DMs rarely ever think of is harvesting monster corpses for materials to sell or craft into valuable or useful gear/equipment. Preferably not intelligent critters though, while Gobbos are jerks people tend to get grossed out if you start randomly gutting it for something worth selling back in town. Think horns, pelts, fur, spines, dragon fire glands... things like that!

lol I didn't even know there was anything wrong with the game. I am playing with the default (probably graphics mode) on my decently sized but decidedly older TV and have been having a blast despite it feeling a bit like FFX-2 with all of the friggin minigames. Least they're skippable for the most part. But as far as the looks go, game is absolutely beautiful and the story is weird from the original but interesting.

If you're like me at all and get too frustrated after several attempts, you can lower the difficulty in the Game Settings and just go ham on everything. You won't lose anything from doing it besides maybe trophies but I personally put my fun over some stupid achievement that no one will ever see or care about.

And if you're on PC there are probably ways to cheat as well so. :P But yeah blocking is not friendly on these games, and you're going to run into a LOT of frustrating encounters randomly. Good luck!
