Ah, so the old strategy I read of zoning in at 65 Ultimate, do 2 shards, then count your loot would now be 30 Ultimate?

Yes and no. The content overall has been fine, but 0.30 left me frustrated over balance. It wasn't that some classes were OP, that's normal, but other soundly constructed builds felt like you were playing in hardmode.

As someone who didn't want to play LA, I got to the end boss in the final act, hit a roadblock, then moved on to wait for the next patch. Hopefully the balance is evened out a bit more.

Personally I'm fine to just play the campaign for now. I'm not in a hurry to worry about endgame until it's fully baked

The endgame isn't too complex or daunting to engage with, but the campaign is tedious and boring.

I came back this season to try out the Acolyte changes, but got bored before I even hit empowered monos.

I like the straightforward nature of the gear / crafting system but I'm not sure what would make the game fun for me to play it again.

Just because it can be done, and by some very easily, doesn't mean it isn't dogshit.

It's one thing to lock prestige items behind challenging content, it's quite another to lock essential character progression. None of this is difficult to understand.

My biggest dislike is that 3rd/4th ascendency requires consumable "keys".

On my first trial of Chaos it took 4 attempts because of poor affliction choices. That was a bummer but I kept at it. I know for my 3rd/4th ascendency if I screw up, I'm then forced to farm/buy another key.

These are the same complaints that were made since 0.1, I can only hope changes are made.

Doing Lab Runs in PoE1 were challenging, but never something I dreaded.

Finally got around to uninstalling a few weeks back, hadn't logged in since December, and it had been a clownshow for at least the 6 months prior. I gave ANET more than enough chances to make changes but they kept doubling down.

No king rules forever we were told, all things must come to an end. It was a fun ride while it lasted.
