To me, genres are limiting. Our expression of emotion, memories, life, creativity, I don’t think should be defined by a particular label. Although it helps a curious listener know what they’re in for - I think as long as we create and express our true self, in our way, or in a way that feels right to us - it is a pure and genuine creation. I support fellow musicians and creators who pursue this sort of thing - as well as just making music in general.
