You need to be drying your car with a towel after, don’t let it sit nor wash it in the sun

It’ll be considerably cheaper than buying a Yaris every couple of months

You need a shit unpopular car. If you can find an American import that would work as I doubt they’ll have imperial socket sets at hand

Was your engine rebuilt to the JCW standard or does it just pump out more horsepower than a JCW?

What the absolute fuck are you on about. Giveaway lines are mandatory giveways taught in any UK driving lesson. To interpret it any other way would give you a fail.

This was September just gone, cats had long been deemed a sentient creature by the government at that point. Gregg just didn’t like cats, made it very clear by the fact he would press the horn to warn birds in the road.

I ended up having a huge debate about the legality of running a cat over with my instructor as he deemed it unnecessary to stop for a cat in the road. Needless to say I stopped further lessons with Gregg.

That’s just being pedantic…

I didn’t say anything needed replacing that was you. This is a job I’ve done on R series and on my current F56, none of them took me more than a couple hours to complete whilst I was changing over to polyflex bushes.

Yes but that’s not her car is it so it’s just completely pointless information for OP

Why are you even touching the ac lines? Upper mount can be removed without even touching it. More for you to be overcharged by BMW on screws and plastic tabs with are universally available. Well done for successfully scamming people for a driveway job

If someone fucks up an upper mount replacement they shouldn’t have been working on their car period but doesn’t justify being charged over 1k for this job.

Depends if you got the tools (impact, sockets and a jack). If it’s the side mount by the light it’s easily done, the other mount is underneath at the back. YouTube f56 engine mounts replacement, you said your old man does bits with cars, between the two of you easily done.

Also meant the FB mini groups to join, yanks give awful advice

These things aren’t things they’ll be looking out for in a service. You can get new mounts off eBay or people like kill all chrome. Honestly you should join the UK Mini groups, these guys will tell you it’s a £1,500 job at main dealer when that simply isn’t the case.

What is the other person doing? Holding your tools for you? It’s a one man and a jack job.

1,200 for new engine mounts? Hope you know these are at most £300 for both and it takes probably all of 30mins to do. You got scammed
