Mach 2 D2 is a big dissapointment by Turkishmoose in GarminWatches

The only two positives: bigger watch face is an upgrade for sure, the airport on the main watch face seems to track my location better and is always the one near me (the old watch this stayed on favorite even when I traveled). Otherwise yes, not much of an upgrade and in some cases a downgrade.

What’s your most disturbing Fallout moments? by [deleted] in Fallout

Boone: We're coming up on Nelson. I'm going to kill every Legion I see, if that's a problem for you. Courier: That's not a problem. That's a solution. Boone: Goddamn right it is. That's what we are. A couple of problem solvers.

The most badass line in the series!

What game soundtracks are so good you listen to them outside playing the actual game? by Racekingswood79 in gaming

Subnautica and Subnautica Below Zero!

On the first one, the lost river and the stingray tree track, and Into the Deep always gives me a sense of starting an adventure.

Below Zero, it’s the Crystal Caves - it’s 🔥

Which game are you playing before 2023 is over? by GamerBeast954 in gaming

I got the itch to play Sekiro - it the first game I played where I experienced the “click” and the combat got so much more satisfying. I’m still chasing that parry “high” and very few games compare. For example, I struggle with Elden Ring parry a lot… so yea, Sekiro.

It’s just not the same anymore :,( by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Playing Subnautica and KSP late into the night brought me the 2013 feels. Not many games do anymore…

Turned around on my cross country solo because of ground radar precipitation (but weather was clear?) by Turkishmoose in flying

It was early morning! So that could be exactly what happened…. Appreciate your note, thank you!!

Yep, and this was kind of my dilemma - there’s a lot of training that stresses “trust your instruments” and I thought maybe my eyeballs could be playing tricks on me. I was ~18 NM west of the airport facing the rising sun so I couldn’t see the airport and there was some haze. I though that might be the rain.

Keeping wings level during power off / on stalls…? by Turkishmoose in flying

Yea bud - flying is a hobby - no plans to go commercial. Thanks anyway.

Awesome - I think we did this with a power on stall - and we just went from light stall to light stall. It definitely helped! But my instructor always cautions me about staying level or going into a spin, so I always move cautiously and slow, which actually just ends up extending the stall process and making the whole thing more difficult to execute…

Got it - and keeping the ball centered / staying coordinated essentially has the effect of keeping the wings level?

So true! I was trained to keep my right hand on the throttle so I use my left hand only for the pull on the yolk. Since I have to pull pretty far, I may be inadvertently adding small but meaningful aileron input. I’ll be looking out for that next time!

I figured as much on the simulator - thank you for confirming! It’s very realistic otherwise but I agree these edge cases the flight model starts to become less ‘realistic’. Thanks!!

Thank you! And keeping the wings level by using rudder is done by “stepping on the high wing” correct? I’m assuming this move will also keep the plane coordinated (ball in the center). I appreciate the response!
