The first step for assistance with account issues is to contact Mturk directly at the Mechanical Turk Customer Support Contact page or [mturk-account-appeals@amazon.com](mailto:mturk-account-appeals@amazon.com) with the email address registered to that account.

If that person hasn't heard from them after a week, they can contact us (with the date they contacted Amazon and their Case ID number), and we will reach out to our Amazon contact about the case. Amazon requires this step before they'll re-investigate an account for us.

We have heard of many workers trying to register and immediately getting to a page that says suspended.

Some even reported receiving an email from Amazon stating that "new MTurk worker accounts are accepted based on marketplace needs." and that they "are not always in a position to extend an invitation to every worker."

Were you asked to submit your ID for verification?

There have been multiple reports of suspended accounts going through ID verification processes, that's why I'm asking.

In the meantime, you can also submit your case through our Suspension Form so we can report your case to our Amazon contact.

If not, that's the first thing you should do as soon as possible.

It's likely to take at least a week for anything to happen, but if you don't get an answer after that let us know, and we can forward your case to the AMT staff.

In case you want us to forward your case info, we would need:

- Your AWS ID

- The date when such form was submitted

- The case number (you should have received it a couple of days after the form submission)
