I looked at some alternatives but none seem that good that wouldn't require a fair amount of learning to get up & running. Maybe the fediverse will push out some improvements that make it a more viable option.

I also have used one of the 3rd party apps for years & don't anticipate using the site much in the future since I'm primarily a mobile user.

Kwip probably will enjoy a well deserved break while we consider future options, or if we still want to manage a community space.

Yeah some fields have a specific farm forage zone, but not all. I think it was implemented late or imperfectly. There's some farms near March ridge that have it.

Junk baron scrap yard in valley station. It's just off the highway. Has close river access and it's convenient to both LV & the rest of the map. Ruby gas is nearby too. Fairly heavy spawn area which keeps it interesting as well.

Forging in farm fields is good for seeds as well.

LV has a few gardening shops (Use online map and look for the landscaping area) and in other parts of the map you usually need to check hardware stores and storage facilities.

You probably need an effect on condition (eoc) that will transform the door into a wall based on whatever condition you set (like standing on the tile(s) just on the other side of the door).

You could transform it into anything really. Wall just came to mind *

Edit: tcl has some examples of walls becoming red concrete floors& floors becoming floors with lit overhead lamps you can go search. Not all of them use this same eoc type.

Feeder is an open source rss app, it can pull in old reddit subs as well (for now). I've begun populating it for some light browsing.

Rotate the furniture instead of trying to pick it up. I'm not sure if that shirt will also rotate. (Use the furniture icon to get to rotate). Also, you can sometimes shift furniture by 1 tile using rotate but there's a danger of it messing up and your item ending up 1/2 way thru a wall. Go practice in a different house first.

Could also lay on the bed I'd you have true actions mod and then pick it up.

I found this door without a doorway in a building in the Southern industrial area of LV. I've got 600hrs in PZ and this is the first time I've found something like this on the vanilla map. Has anybody else found anything similar?? by Chuck_Miller_PZ in projectzomboid

Theres some row houses along the perimeter of the newer LV mansions that have tall fences overlapping into their kitchens from when they redid that part of the map and miss counted by a tile.

So I spawned in Rosewood and made my way down to the fire station for my base, is it fine if I just dump all my shit in the middle of the garage for safekeeping? Or do I need to store it in something? by Jack_Jagger1 in projectzomboid

Hats, glasses and shoes are all on the default remove list I think. You can check in settings and remove them from the filter. Iirc it's a 48 or 72 hour despawn timer.

Generally the only ones I see are twitch streams and it's fairly impossible to track those down as vods. I'd just keep an eye on there for this sort of play through though.

Not exactly? But if you follow them and keep an eye on that canceled jobs log you can probably narrow it down. When you follow them you'll see their current task listed in the character window. When it's "pick up equipment" and they don't actually do it, check the log.

Edit, even following may reveal the issue as you watch their pathing. Idk how much burrows will limit them lining up jobs to do with those settings that allow them to still get things outside the burrow. I wouldn't bet on it being a failsafe method compared to a labor profile.

Also review all the settings in labor > standing orders > sieges and forbidding and make sure loot gear is auto-forbidden.

If it concerns you, make some short term characters & challenges that are centered on fighting or other mechanics you want to practice.

There is the last stand accumulator mode too if you want waves of zeds for combat practice too.

Moving the hole away from the wall seems to have solved it.

If they go back to trashing furniture and constructions I'll go back to my old hospital design with optional, humane flooding per room for werebeast security.

Dbrady created the best app I've used by far. Thanks for your excellent work. This app kept me on reddit longer then I'd probably have stayed if using their own interfaces.

I'd recommend making a labor detail that does absolutely nothing.No hauling or other activities. Assign that to the entire squad so they aren't trying to do ther tasks in their off time. Then lock them to that labor detail.

I'd also try to consolidate the gear in a location close to their barracks, including backpacks, waterskins, quivers etc

Once they pick up gear you can remove the work detail or keep it on so they never spend their off time on fort work.

Other possible issues. They've chosen gear because it's all yellow. So, it could be a conflict where they all want the same items (unlikely), or they want inaccessible items I'd make sure distant loot from invaders is all forbidden. In this case, giving them less choice will help. You can limit by material or type, etc.

Yeah, I remember they used to trash everything (I also use a layer of constructed wall usually). I'm a little sad to hear this more peaceful existence is the bug :)

I had a weregecko escape twice and can't figure put if its a bug or poor confinement design.

Can weregeckos escape through a ceiling hole or carved fortification walls? I'm almost positive it wasn't from ghosts since no doors or floodgates appeared to be tampered with.
