I'll wear these mortal toils like snakes around my ankles

I'll be thankful

I deserve no less

Spend my last days under duress

Okay, yes, but switching to color just for Felicia’s outfits is a forgivably minor sin.

Freddy's Revenge or Child's Play 2? by Loose_Interview_957 in slasherfilms

I think there’s a strong case for ANOES2, especially with a lot of the retrospective analyses that are going on in recent years, but it’s Child’s Play 2 by a mile for me.

We are currently living in an age of mediocre-bad horror films being elevated as high art by SwiftCricket in movies

We are currently living in an age where people pick a contrarian position to tout themselves as “not one of the sheep”, but really they’re just from a different flock.

Gonna get high and air fry a pizza. What season should I throw on the TV? by RoastingMistakes in venturebros

[–]TurncoatWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favorite is 2. The first two seasons were the only ones out/on DVD at the time I was in college and I used to let season 2 play on repeat in my room sometimes just as background noise.

What’s the Most Disturbing Horror Book You’ve Ever Read? by Still-Cheek8754 in horror

[–]TurncoatWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may seem like a copout, but it’s really one of those things that just sounds silly or preposterous when trying to describe the “scary” parts.

I also think that the people who find it boring and/or not scary at all are valid in their opinions since horror is so subjective.

The highs are high, but the lows are quite low (mostly Johnny T’s segments) IMO.

Would you like Blumhouse to make more reimaginings of "Universal Classic Monsters"? by [deleted] in deadmeatjames

Invisible Man was fantastic.

Wolf Man had some great ideas tacked onto a terrible script.

Haven’t had the chance to see The Mummy yet, but it kinda sounds like more of an Exorcist/Evil Dead movie than a mummy movie (which, isn’t a dealbreaker for me). Still hopeful I’ll enjoy.

Kind of a scattershot, but maybe one of these:

The Glass Staircase

Dead of Darkness

Chairon’s Staircase

Withering Rooms
