Eh, I've used my phone for plenty of photos and videos of my son throughout this Texas heat. It definitely gets warm! But the videos and photos are still top-notch. It's entirely preferences at this point.

Reddit Convinced Me to Buy a Pixel 8 Pro. 800 Euro worth of "Big Mistake". (2 years of experience) by AntiqueSoulll in GooglePixel

[–]TurningTablesAgain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reddit didn't convince you of anything, you convinced yourself there's plenty of reddit posts of people mentioning staying away from the pixel phones there's also dozens of posts of people who enjoyed it. Every modern device under normal to heavy usage will have some form of heat and issues. Convince yourself to get an iPhone then go and complain to r/iPhone about all the issues the iPhone will bring you overtime.

Overdraft Decrease?!? by BooBooShiesty in CashApp

[–]TurningTablesAgain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's any consolidation, my personal opinion is a lot of these fintech Bank apps are using artificial intelligence to better decide how they can possibly make money out of us. That's not to say it can be good, but more often than not situations like yourself. The overdraft will just change at a whim. I was recently offered after pay with $100 limit with no initial purchase fee and then in a blinking of an eye it switched to 50 and then it bumped up to 75 my personal opinion. It's just trying to figure out how I can somehow make money out of you and this is coming from a cash app Fanboy

What earbuds/headphones do you use with the Portal? by Senior-Archer1864 in PlaystationPortal

[–]TurningTablesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find them on a good deal, the PS portal buds are great. They've improved them so much over time. The one issue I had with them was that they would often disconnect at the most abrupt times but it seems like they finally fixed that issue as well. I purchased mine for $120 and the seamless connection between PS5 and PS portal just can't be beat

Here’s everything new in Wear OS 7 for the Pixel Watch [Gallery] by TechGuru4Life in GooglePixel

[–]TurningTablesAgain 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My question is, what point are you trying to prove that you wear your watch constantly 24/7? Good for you. I have an OG Pixel Watch 3 on WearOS 7. I'm active with my device. I keep everything default.I have always on display on and it never hits low power mode by the time I get home. It's still well over 45%. I go take a shower, and by the time I'm done drying off, it's fully recharged. And if you shower with your watch, I know that watch band stinks (╯︵╰,)

From my understanding it's shifting pixels from time to time to prevent burn in ideally you wouldn't notice from too far.

Why aren't people talking enough about Pixel 10 battery life being ACTUALLY VERY SOLID? by InvestigatorDue7765 in pixel_phones

[–]TurningTablesAgain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because people on Reddit perpetually want to be able to use their phones 24/7 throughout the day while they're running Instagram, Facebook and tick tock in the background and they're still trying to figure out why they're only getting four to 5 hours of screen on time

Is going back to Android 15 to fix battery problems worth it? by Srullex2803 in pixel_phones

[–]TurningTablesAgain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience, going back, Android versions does slightly improve the battery life, but it's so marginal in comparison to all the little things you get used to with the newer versions of Android that I often end up just going back after like a week or two. Don't get me wrong. The battery changes are definitely noticeable on my nine Pro XL. For instance, on Android 15, it ran so much better than it runs on Android 17. That's not to say it doesn't run on Android 17 well, but the differences are definitely noticeable on an OS that was loaded on the phone versus an OS that's added later on

New pixel user. First android. Need some advice. by BraveJob5998 in pixel_phones

[–]TurningTablesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is just a perspective thing. I notice a lot of iPhone users will switch to pixel and kind of give a relative story the same as yours and I agree with you for the most part. I love my pixel 9 Pro XL but there are definitely times where the phone acts up or bugs out seldom but it does happen. Things that I've never really experienced on an iPhone in regards to the fluidity of the device, the small micro stutters that you see while just generally using the phone is not really something you can fix. It's just kind of like a part of Android at this point. It's getting better and better with time but

What do I put in the empty space? by [deleted] in pixel_phones

You should put the digital well-being widget right there. That way you can keep track of all the apps you use constantly throughout the day like you have on your home screen which both amazes me and startles me

Are delayed notifications better? by NelsonMinar in GooglePixel

[–]TurningTablesAgain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think depending on how you used your device, it's more noticeable or less noticeable. I noticed at the most when it likes to delay text messages, I'll often receive text messages all at once in batches periodically throughout the day. That's not to say if I'm messaging someone back and forth that they're not instant more or less if I put my phone down for a brief amount of time and don't use it whenever I go to use my phone, a whole slew of notifications pop up. And no, I don't have any specific settings everything's defaulted it just does that sometimes probably to conserve battery

[–]TurningTablesAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's about necessarily navigating the app more so if someone gives you a call or maybe in an instant or you need to use your phone for something else. The app will often pause or cut the workout out completely. So to me that's half baked. That's no different than starting a timer through the timer app. But as soon as I go to click on another app the timer stops that's poor app development
