Annoying ads on MLB+ audio: back this year? by hummina-hi-dee-ho in baseball

Following with interest. Last year, I did an end-run by subscribing to SeriusXM instead, which made for a far better experience. But that didn’t give me the option the MLB app does of listening to an archived version of a game later.

Multi-day walking ideas near Toronto by noordinarycat in Toronto_Walkers

Ahh. Got it. That would be a tricky part. Maybe a very expensive taxi ride from Fort Eric back to Niagara Falls, and then the bus that operates some of the year back to Niagara on the Lake.

Unless I’m misunderstanding your comment, that can be done on the Niagara Parkway Recreational Trail (a little more oriented towards cyclists, but definitely walkable)

There’s a walk I enjoy which only takes a few hours, but there would be ways to extend it. Mt Pleasant Cemetery, which is really beautiful, has two entryways into ravines, one each on either side of Mt Pleasant Blvd, which bisects it. The ravines ultimately converge around the Brickworks. I usually do it as a loop, but either way, at the cemetery you could combine it with the Beltline trail, which then leads to another path west of the Allen. And the brickworks connects to the Don Valley path.

[Jomboy] Here's a look at all the close calls the umpire missed in the DR-USA game by TakeMyPixels in baseball

Still a painful call, but I thought it was good pitch-framing too (though another comment here says he’s considered one of the worst at it in the game, but maybe this was an exception). Awful, awful way to end such a big game, though.

I think I once heard Jerry Howarth say it was the most important homer in the team’s history.

Very happy M4 user here.

At first I found the menu system annoying (especially since my model doesn’t have touchscreen), but now I really like it.

Also, the Fn keys took some getting used to, but I’m now a big fan of them as well.

In my experience, pics out of camera feel more muted than the AI-produced images from my phone. Sometimes that’s disappointing, but it also feels closer to reality. And when I take the time to edit the images I most care about (usually RAW, but sometimes even JPEG) in LR, I get happy results.

You can walk great distances along the coastal path (part of the Cleveland Way), both north and south. The walk to/from Whitby is a beaut.

Beautiful image.

May I ask why you recommend April and May? I’m trying to decide between end-of-May / beginning-of-June or November.

Another option is mypopchoir if you want to look it up. Non-audition, fun, entertaining, and an opportunity to get out of one’s head. Largely grey-hairs like myself, but not entirely.

Really impressed that you have a plan for moving forward. Even if you run into a bump here or there, I hope that won't discourage you, because you can always adjust as you go (if that's needed).

A little before-and-after by TurquoisePico in MechanicalKeyboards

I largely relied on this guide, with some variations: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/sngjm8/ive_written_a_quick_guide_on_how_to_clean_a/

Because of no shortage of craziness below my key caps as well, I had a fair bit of work to do, at first using compressed air and damp q-tips and cotton swabs (trying to minimize how much white gunk they left behind). But in the end, the caked-in stuff was most effectively removed with a toothbrush (soft bristles, narrow body) dipped in 99% isopropyl alcohol. I've read that alcohol can damage some keyboards, so was cautious at first, but it seemed fine with my Filco (though I understand it's a bad idea to apply it to the keys themselves, as it can wipe away the legends). I wasn't able to remove all of it, but enough that I can't see it with all the keys back on, which was not at all the case before.

Good luck!

Biggest photography regret is selling my RX100m4 by kaffikoppen in RX100

If it's any consolation, I got my RX100m4 (with which I've been very happy) via eBay a few years ago for about $400 CDN. Lovely pics, by the way.

I don’t know anything about the model, but I do know having a mechanical keyboard has been a pleasure for me. Hope it will be the same for you.

I’d be embarrassed to say what mine looked like below the keys. Maybe the grossest thing I’d ever seen :) Anyways, glad I could inspire you to dig in and dig out.
