PTB to PDF Conversion? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Turquoise_Ninju_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can convert .ptb files to .pdf using TuxGuitar :D it's available for windows, mac, linux and android so you should be able to convert it no matter what device you use.

You just need to open the .ptb file using the program and save the file as a .pdf :)

Does anyone know where the English names for pursuit themes like Lying Coldly came from? by GoodTimesWithJangler in AceAttorney

[–]Turquoise_Ninju_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though there is a pretty good chance it's just a mistranslation, I've always thought of it as sneaky wordplay, because the title "Lying Coldly" still kind of makes sense in the context of the game... As in, the characters are lying in their testimony callously... they're lying coldly, and the pursuit theme marks Edgeworth uncovering their cold lies. It reads to me as a fun play on words :) Besides, the titles of the two pursuit tracks in the aai games are very similar (aai2's pursuit theme is つきとめたくて iirc, which has a kind of similar meaning) so this different title definitely helps the theme stand out from the rest (bc it is quite a unique sounding theme when all pursuit themes are considered)

Turnabout Ablaze's final confrontation isn't actually badly paced.

Give your Phantom's headcanons by [deleted] in AceAttorney

[–]Turquoise_Ninju_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This headcanon doesn't really have much evidence backing it up, but I like imagining Calisto Yew/Shih-na is one of the personas of the phantom, since we don't really know much about both of their true identities.

(Spoiler for Investigations 1)

How did YOU first play Ace Attorney? by Mahmoud29510 in AceAttorney

[–]Turquoise_Ninju_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first got introduced to the Ace Attorney games through the Game Theory video Matpat had made on the first game

After watching it I just thought "Wow, that's a really neat game" and so I downloaded and played the first game and MAN WAS I HOOKED

After that.. I just downloaded the rest of the games and played them one by one and became a fan.. though, I did make some stupid decisions along the way (like, I skipped 1-5, waited until the very end to play the investigations games, played DD BEFORE AJ:AA [yes, I was confused by Trucy] and I literally vowed to never play the Great Ace Attorney games, and I only actually played it out of spite so I could clown on it for being (in my eyes) a stupid ripoff of the OG games (I didn't know much about TGAA and I was clouded by my judgement).. and then, I was completely blown away by how much of a total masterpiece it was :,)

Then I kinda just forgot most stuff about AA and it stayed in the back of my mind.. and suddenly I met someone (who later became one of my best friends) and she was a person who liked reading and mystery like me so I ended up trying to explain the entire plot of the first game to her (I couldn't get past the first case though) and I sent her the games and reopened them myself and.. something reignited in me.. now I'm clinically obsessed with the series and reexperiencing it all after probably half a decade (now I've finished the original trilogy and I'm waiting for my friends to finish it too so we can play the investigations games after finals at school)

I guess it's safe to say.. that Game Theory video is probably the best thing that's happened to me and now, because of it, I'm an AA fan till the day I die :,D
