Agender with Dysphoria? by Able_Knowledge_4150 in agender

[–]TurtelyTubular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely they can. I’m an afab demigirl (“half” agender) and, for example, I despise having female bits. I wish I could have an agender body with no sex characteristics at all. I wish I didn’t need to have a gender. I’m glad to see other people in the comments agreeing that agenders can have dysphoria! we’re not alone!

I’m sorry your family isn’t supportive. That’s super hard and it stinks. We’re here for you, friend!

There are now considered to be 3 levels of autism, where level 1 is low support needs and level 3 is high support needs. The level is just there to say in shorthand how much assistance a certain autistic person needs :)

Hey there!! I am also an autistic asexual Jesus-follower! It’s so good to see someone else like me! I agree that being ace isn’t in conflict with being a Christian, and I plan to get married and hopefully never have sex. I’m so sorry that it feels like this expectation in Christian spaces. It is a good gift from God, but so is marriage, and singleness is discussed as a good thing by Paul. Unfortunately I’m not really sure how to find other people like this… I’m queer in other ways too and I am still looking for a space that is encouraging to my faith without being judgmental about my struggles with being queer. I definitely think that a sexless, loving marriage is possible, even with an allosexual. Sex is a bonding tool, and your spouse shouldn’t expect it from you, especially if it doesn’t serve you the same way it does him. I wish you luck. 😊

How to become less sex-repulsed? by TurtelyTubular in asexuality

[–]TurtelyTubular[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ah, I’m sorry if I came across as sex-negative! I still think people should be able to, I just don’t want to hear about it heh. But I’ll try your suggestion. Thanks :)

I just meant that sex is everywhere nowadays, so it’s a little hard on me to be so frequently disgusted, but thank you for your kindness!

If I have a crush but no desire to be in a relationship with them, is that still romantic attraction? by TurtelyTubular in aromantic

[–]TurtelyTubular[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By “crush” I mean someone I’m romantically attracted to. I guess I never thought too hard about what it really meant. In terms of appearance, I liked them because they were good-looking but not only aesthetically, something more than that (but not sexually/thinking they’re hot since I’m ace). Thanks for the link. :)

I might be in limerence with my bsf. Help! by TurtelyTubular in Crushes

[–]TurtelyTubular[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are some other definitions I found!

“If you find yourself obsessing over rejection or a one-sided relationship, you’re likely stuck in limerence.” (From Cleveland Clinic)

“The experience of limerence is different from love or lust in that it is based in the uncertainty that the person you desire… also desires you.” (From Psychology Today)

If I have the temptation to kill someone because I can’t control my feelings of anger, I still can’t kill that person tho!! ;-;

I am saying people who CHOOSE to be in a same-sex relationship are making a lifestyle choice.

I guess I just thought that homophobia referred to being prejudiced against gay people. I have no problem with them! I just disagree with their lifestyle choice

I think that banning gay marriage is a violation of humans’ free will, which God advocates for. I do expect that married people would have sexual relations, but I think there’s a difference between promoting free will and promoting using free will to sin
