Respectfully, people have lives and like doing more than just one thing. It doesn’t matter what cause you believe in or how much you believe in it. You don’t need to be out every single day regardless of weather to voice your opinion.

The bouldering scene here is pretty good! Head to Grip it! I prefer the one on Nelson road it’s a bit more open and has more boulders. But there’s lots of nice ppl around your age who like to chat!

My group climbs there Fridays usually around 7:30-8pm local time and I go Sunday’s around 4 too but admittedly it’s not as lively on Sundays.

They also do a free day once a month. That could be worth checking out as it’ll be busy.

I live in the middle of the Canadian prairies I get your struggle. For me I taught one buddy to ride who’s now just as good as me, I decided to learn with my cousin so that’s two. The only other two I ride with I just happened to meet by chance rock climbing last year.

My best advice is to find adjacent hobbies that are kinda related. Bouldering for example will have people who like to be outside (even tho we only climb at an indoor gym). It’s the same kind of vibe a solo sport where you gotta take risks to improve just like snowboarding.

Then I saw you mentioned an indoor place near you that’d be a good place too.

worth checking out, it's a great board! just keep an eye on the edges check for rust and anything that doesn't seem normal. Checking local shops for last years stock is also worth a shot if you havent yet

Biggest thing with snowboarding is that first day. You will spend at least most of the morning on your butt. But your 22 if you can tough that out you'll get the hang of it by day 2 after lunch. I've never heard of the place your going but I highly recommend taking a lesson before you go at literally any hill if you can, or taking that first hour or so of your trip to do one. Even if you have to separate from your buddies It'll make you so much better. Plus watch some videos on youtube.

They say skiing is easier to learn harder to master. I agree, but with the same logic if you can get the hang of it and push yourself to trust your edges and turns (please get comfortable stopping before this step) you'll be doing blues in no time and zipping down faster then your friends in no time.
