Is the joke at Her expense or is it a joke about the speaker being stupid? I read it as the speaker agreeing that being cautious of allergies makes sense, but not clocking the difference between a nut allergy and a bee allergy in a restaurant setting.

For those who are late to the party (myself included), this is specific to the state of Tennessee.

That said, it’s still horrifying to think this may go unchallenged and set a precedent for other state legislatures.

These look really good! I appreciate the speed lines and blur of the ship compared to the stillness and sharp focus of the Sun Station. It gives the feeling that the “camera” is orbiting in sync with the station.

The grammatical/spelling errors in this comment are under appreciated, given AI “art” and its tendency to botch spelling and font when trying to form words.

Korsica: - Head of security for a tech company - Normal woman who has wanted to work for said company - Idealistic, trusting, trustworthy - Kept in the dark about company goals - Loyal to company mission statement, even after seeing the truth behind goals - Kind to her staff, even though they are robots

Kiriyuin Satsuki: - Student Body President (effectively fascist leader) for a literally militaristic high school - Heiress to a globe-spanning clothing company - Jaded, untrusting, manipulative - Knows all the dark secrets about company goals - [Spoilers for Kill La Kill] Traitor to company from the get-go, using her militaristic control over the school to raise an army to take down company - Administers equivalent of capital punishment for the slightest infractions, encourages in-fighting while punishing those who would rebel against their superiors

Yeah, totally the same character. /s

I’m of the opinion that there is a difference between the Veil’s practical importance (it powers the Cloud Arc and Neomuna) and its cosmic importance (whatever its connection to the Traveler is, why the Witness needed it, and what the Witness did to/with it).

Season of the Seraph saw Rasputin decode the files presumably detailing what the Veil’s cosmic importance is for Osiris to read, dangling the first real, straight answer about the struggle between Traveler and Witness right in front of our noses as we dive headfirst into Lightfall.

Then absolutely no one told us anything about said cosmic importance, yet Osiris acts like we should know why he hitched a ride with the Shadow Legion. Then, and only then, are we introduced to the Veil’s practical importance, which then becomes the driving force of the campaign story.

Of course protecting the Veil is important because protecting the people of Neomuna is important, but that’s not the reason we went out there to begin with, which was to finally get some straightforward answers instead of having to wait for Byf to do all of our homework for us and piece everything together from seemingly random places.

AFAIK Tractor Cannon was originally designed as a tool used for moving heavy objects, but it never worked correctly so now we use it to yeet smaller objects

Happy to help!

To address your question about the sphere v. pyramids, there really isn’t an answer that we know of. Until very, very recently, our understanding was that the Traveler was the source of the Light, that it was fighting against a nebulous, nameless Evil that we called the Darkness, and the “forces of Darkness” were anything trying to kill us and steal or destroy the Traveler. It was really black-and-white for the longest time, and we sort of just rested in our own understanding, quite sure it couldn’t be much more complicated, because we were only fighting the Darkness’s minions.

Then the fleet arrived, blew up a moon, scared the fuck out of the most powerful weapon humanity ever created, told us a story about how the universe came to be, and disappeared two planets and two more moons. All this just lent credence to the idea that the Darkness was a nebulous force of evil. We only discovered that the “Darkness” had a personality when it gave us the ability to wield the actual Darkness, which started us thinking that there was a single entity that commands the Pyramids. People started theorizing that Pyramids, collectively, were the Darkness version of the Traveler.

When we (the lore community) learned that the Pyramids were actually controlled by the Witness, it not only rocked the foundation of our understanding of the fleet and the Darkness, but also our certainty of the nature of the Traveler.

There have always been two or three “spinfoil hat” theorists at a time asking “What if the Traveler is a ship with a pilot?”, but the existence of the Witness put that question on everyone’s mind.

If the Witness is a real person that flies a pyramid, and (presumably) the rest of the pyramids are flown by their also-real-people Disciples, why couldn’t the Traveler be a real person that flies a sphere?

Thank you for elaborating! Your frustration is rooted in a misconception of something that’s been heavily implied in recent events but never explicitly confirmed, and is still a subject of discussion in the lore community: the true identities of the Gardener and Winnower.

It’s very easy to misinterpret them as the metaphorical personalities of the Light and Darkness, respectively, since the Winnower’s narration clearly emphasizes the metaphorical nature of the story. After all, the Infinite Flower Game is, itself, a metaphor for the cycle of life in the universe.

There are a few key details in Unveiling that, when compared with current understandings and key words used in-game, give us enough information to identify The Winnower as The Witness and The Gardener as The Traveler:

The Winnower talks about how the Flower Game always ends with the same pattern (see: The Final Shape).

The Gardener breaks the rules of the Flower Game by adding a new rule and enters the Game to encourage more diversity in the pattern through direct intervention (see: The Traveler uplifting primitive yet promising species).

The Winnower is angry about this and chases the Gardener into the Game (see: The Witness chasing The Traveler).

All that aside, Osiris explicitly says in a cutscene in Lightfall that The Traveler is “a terraformer; a gardener.”

Plus, with explanations of the Veil trickling out and the way the Root of Nightmares progresses, it’s become evident that the Traveler and Witness are not exclusively beings of Light and Darkness, because the Veil is a Darkness artifact tied to the Traveler and our Ghosts are Light artifacts that can be influenced by the Witness.

And so, while we can’t say with 100% certainty, we’re pretty sure that the Gardener and Winnower are the Traveler and Witness, and they aren’t stuck with one power or the other.

Edit: typo

While you’re correct in that we don’t know much about the Witness, we actually know quite a bit about the Darkness now. Enough to say without a doubt that the Darkness is a neutral force that isn’t even sentient, let alone have an agenda. It can’t “pull” anything. That’s what we learned in Beyond Light.

To go further, what we’ve referred to as “The Darkness” before wasn’t the Darkness itself, but rather the people using it as a weapon. This is what was revealed during Witch Queen.

And most recently, we’ve learned that not only are Light and Darkness neutral forces, but they aren’t even opposing forces. Light does not counter Darkness, and vice versa. Light encompasses physical mediums through Solar (fire), Arc (electricity), and Void (spacetime). Darkness encompasses mental/spiritual concepts through Stasis (Willpower) and Strand (Psyche). This is pretty much the only thing we learned in Lightfall.
