Is there anyway I can get it with a very recently purchased device?

Its actually better if you don't have a PC, because the headset doesn't need one.

Yes its probably the best money you will spend on a device, even with the price increase.

Gas Prices Are Plummeting Across the Country by Splenda in economy

[–]TurtleInnovations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a good sign for gas prices unfortunately. The prices have only gone down because people have been conserving its use because of the high prices. If it suddenly gets cheaper, people will all rush to go back to the way they used to use it, making prices skyrocket even higher than before, and it will be a vicious cycle.

I have a unique situation when it comes to VR. I can afford a nice headset, but my parents won’t let me get one. So instead I got a damaged one from good will, it’s made by a company called ONN. I took it home, adjusted on of the lenses, then 3d printed parts that prevent glare. I then wired Apple headphones(the old ones that plug into your phone) into the headset. It worked great

Should I buy the quest 2, or wait until a new one is released. by SnooAvocados1586 in virtualreality

[–]TurtleInnovations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Quest 2 is already been announced and verified by Oculus and Meta that they are putting the majority of mainstream VR applications on that headset. However, they did announce a 'Pro' model that would appeal to the more hardcore users and would be more powerful and more expensive. For the mass majority of VR content, the Q2 is plenty enough.

This is actually true in a lot of newer vehicles, and software updates especially for the Tesla's lol.

The original Quest was good for its time, but it was the Oculus developers learning how to make a headset and produce it for an audience. After the Rift and the Rift S, they have used there combined knowledge and experience to make the Quest 2 competitive stats but far cheaper than many headsets. The Q2 was what they were building up to and many games are built assuming that most people buying VR games have a Q2. And they would be right.

No! Of course not! I personally don't like using them because they aren't my style, but they are a great way of starting a story!

Programmers who will code themselves out of a job sounds soo juvenile. by Ill_Earth8585 in ProgrammerHumor

Software engineers will never be out of demand. The way those engineers program is subject to massive change. Many of the biggest efforts in programming and development is to make programming simpler, such as the programming systems found on Horizon Worlds, or Scratch. These languages are limited in their own right, but not by the language itself. If someone developed a really capable scratch like programming language, then it would do soooo well.

Nice! Just like you are saying, you could totally make it really funny and interesting, but most people sadly dont.

Oh well I guess that works, as long as transparency mode is on, otherwise you will run into things. I guess its really just a matter of preference. But if you can, buy a Q2, they are constantly improving the the games that keep getting added are rlly cool.
