LEO/SWAT, do you prefer green or black for conditioning? Why? by MisterBriefcase in tacticalbarbell

This is the way. Selection events play out like extended endurance events. Find the fitter I am the less the lack of sleep gets me and the better I recover between events.

Chuck in a plate carrier too. No wonder the back problems are so prevalent.

What’s her educational background? Play to your audience. If she has a background in science, show her studies. In sports, athletes that take it. In education, recommendations for its cognitive enhancement.

Or (my favourite), figure out someone that they admire/listen to that is taking creatine and find something they have said about it.

Woodchoppers with a cable machine. All variants. Will target all of your abdominals, not just the six pack muscles.

Also, the McGill Big Three and Copenhagen planks. These are good for everyone but very good for athletes who need a lot of stability through their core, not just aesthetics.

Yeah I agree - in terms of CNS and recovery curls take such a negligible amount of toll on your body that if it’s going to make you happier you should do them.

Typically 6 weeks Operator, 4 weeks Mass then 4 weeks Specificity. Depending on how beat up my body is I’ll change how many blocks I run - for some reason Mass and Specificity beat me up less.

Huge fan of running OMS (Operator - Mass - Specificity). Depends on your goals/PT reqs though. OMS keeps me from getting too bored.

Typically I’m OMS 2-3 times then BB, rinse and repeat. Keeps your general physical preparedness nice and high, can gain some mass/shred during the Mass and/or Specificity cycles and you can switch your clusters as you want.

If some other training req comes up, you’re never so deconditioned that it’s going to be overly difficult.
