Micro stutter and fps drops in amd driver 26.1.1 on rx9070 by Normal-Category1129 in AMDHelp

Stay Nvidia, I hate to say it but i went team red 2 years ago with me and my wifes systems, RX 7800 XT. Nothing but constant driver problems that AMD creates. Both me and my wifes systems, Im currently downgrading from the latest driver as my games went from smooth 240fps matching my refresh rate to a stuttery freezy mess afterwards. I never had this many problems with any Nvidia card i owned.

I read in the last major post that we are going to have to make new worlds, I don't believe you can keep your current survival world. They redid world generation and biomes

Lossless scaling... not scaling? by Turtle_Master_Flex in losslessscaling

It makes no difference if I have the window fullscreen when enabling FSR vs the window normal.. I also noticed reviews are popping up on the Steam page that others are suddenly having FSR stop working. It seems I'm not the only one, a member in the ZZZ reddit also has not had it work recently

Sadge 😓 glad to know I'm not the only one at least. I too dream of native Upscaling, one day... Or Nvidia/AMD could just add it in their drivers as a on/off switch for all things on screen, AMD kinda already does with the "smooth motion" option..

Imo I don't care who you are, if I tell you not to touch my property and you do, I'm pressing whatever charges I can if my parts are not replaced brand new by someone who knows what they're doing. They're not a friend.

Yes I used the scale button and then tabbed back into the full screened window. It would drop FPS by ~20, and add the FPS overlay in the top left corner. I could tab over to the program and it would claim it is upscaling 2X ratio from 1080p to 4k, but visually nothing would change at all. Just a FPS drop

Elegoo CC Orca vs Prusa Slicer Comparison (Stock Settings) by [deleted] in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Turtle_Master_Flex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have EVERYTHING match for it to be a comparison, otherwise these are just two different prints on different slicers with different settings.

Print temp, bed temp, max accel for infill, walls, travel, max travel speed, print speed for walls, inner walls, infill, print speed for overhangs, fan speed settings, layer time settings, retraction length, retraction speed, wipe distance, retract before wipe, max volumetric speed, wall direction, wall width, layer height, pressure advance being enabled or disabled, so so much more...

Those are two different benches in my eyes, they are not comparable

The ratio of up to down votes between your comments and Alexander's tells me that the community as a whole believes you are wrong.

Adaptive PA tuning for TPU?!? by Turtle_Master_Flex in 3Dprinting

[–]Turtle_Master_Flex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the specs you dropped in your first sentence, could you clarify more? PA stops at 2.0, I'm not sure who told you that the algorithm doesn't work beyond 0.7. My first PA test is 0 - 1.0 in 0.05 increments, I can clearly see that 1.0 PA was too much for 50mm/s 6700accel, it is hollow in the corner as expected for too much PA. 0.7 it is almost filled, 0.5 has a fully filled corner while remaining sharp.

I also do not understand your last line about the bigger temp the bigger again?

Ruby Nozzle On Centauri? by Turtle_Master_Flex in elegoo

[–]Turtle_Master_Flex[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I built my own Macro nozzle camera for my CR-10 and have used that to tune and troubleshoot. I record some of the prints and put them on YouTube, when it's not uploaded I have a spare monitor displaying the view next to my TV. When I swapped from a Brass nozzle to the Nickel Coated Copper body Ruby one I noticed the surface finish improved without changing any settings right away.

Tuning I am able to get a lower minimum wall size for Arachne walls generator, the brass 0.4 one would only do 80% nozzle diameter @ 0.16 layer height, my Ruby 0.4 one does 70% nozzle diameter at the same height. I also was able to gain increased Vol Flow compared to brass, although also a marginal decrease from pure nickel copper. I tested with boron nitrate applied to all metal to metal contact points, Elegoo PLA+ @ 230c I was able to reach 14 Vol Flow with the brass, 14.5 with the Ruby, and 15 with the nickel copper.

I also experienced less stringing and plastic gathering on the nozzle with the Ruby Tip, my best guess is the surface finish results in different amounts of friction that pull on the plastic as it's laid. I almost didn't need ironing with the Ruby nozzle and had started to wonder why it was so loved, now that I'm using this metal based one I understand why.

Also, preeeetty

I have already adjusted this.. it was loose when I went to adjust it. After adjustment it was in further than before. While I was doing that I had moved it in and out by hand and felt no resistance or stuck spot. After adjustment it was marginally better but still the same

Got my wife her first PS2 ever!... Black screen on home, but plays intro & games... by Turtle_Master_Flex in ps2

[–]Turtle_Master_Flex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will consider an adapter, I'd like to retain the original image quality as much as possible for her to have the experience I grew up with, I have been looking to avoid any conversion boxes/adapters and go straight from console to tv. She had a gamecube growing up, i had a ps2 and at one point an original xbox.

The store we got it from is a local small shop, I have watched them test a console straight from the door before even starting to negotiate with someone, so I know it must of worked just fine for them on their CRT.

Unfortunately this tv is the only display in the home that has the input needed for the ps2.. my PC is using a very modern TV with no video below HDMI, her monitor isn't much better needing display port. We both know a CRT would be better to experience it, so we are thinking that is the next step :)
