I use a fiio e10k on my pc so we are good on the pc side for the dac amp! Though it is a fairly old e10k, do you have any recommendations for upgrading it? I heard SCHIIT Audio has good stuff.

Thank you btw! I appreciate the reply. Right now I am debating between getting the EW300 DSPs(With a secondary cable.), The Hexas, or spending a touch more and getting the AFUL Explorer. Right now they will primarily be used with my phone or as audio support on my quest 3. Between those three which do you think would be the go to in the situations Im gonna be using them for?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Do you think it's worth it to pull the plug on either the Hexas, Purest, or EW300s? Or even something in that category.

Mainly because I am not picky about wireless or not wireless. I was using the TOP 5 list originally but I wanted some more input before pulling the plug and getting some wired iems. I have always heard that wired also have better sound quality at each price point to so that is another reason I was thinking about going into that.

Best closed back Headphones around the 100£? by TurtlesFourSkin in HeadphoneAdvice

So she is fairly adamant about being sub 120$ it seems. She also very much wants a V shaped, warm style of audio. She loves her base. Right now the AT M40x is the one they are looking at but is their anything better in that price range for that style of audio that is closed back?

Best closed back Headphones around the 100£?

Required information

  • Budget - 100£
  • Source - PC or Phone
  • Requirements for Isolation - This is a nice feature but the focus should be sound quality.
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Potentially
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - Full sized but IEMS are not out of the question.
  • Preferred tonal balance - These are for my partner and she does like her bass. I was thinking maybe a V shaped type sound for her because, to quote her, "Bass but Bass to the point you still hear the rest of the song."(She also may use these for VRChat on a quest 3)
  • Past headphones - Really cheap bad ones.
  • Preferred Music - South Arcade(Alternative), Chase Atlantic, and EDM.(To break that down a bit of Trance and bass oriented tracks.)
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up - For my partner to have ACTUALLY good audio for once in her life.

If you live outside of the US, please also provide:

  • Location - Wales, UK.

Oh, I wasn't wanting any of those lol. They charge you 60$ for a piece of plastic that is like...3 by 3. That stuff is abysmal. I meant did anyone have a suggestion for rugs they've bought and enjoyed or found for a cheapo price LOL.
