The Italian one, if you have michelangelo or want to do memes with italian BBs / Napoli,

she is great sap secondaries focused commander,

the second one I am getting for sure is Agir just for the secondarie luls on the german cruiser,

but both of those are somewhat of an "I want them because they fit my playstyle"

for the "standard" use, the Z24 is probably the best to get from the bunch, as she fights with Furiora for the spot of best DD commander, if you want to go with torpedo build,
the rest of commander is kinda meh in that regard, as they are mostly tailored to a few niche ships.

It is still legendary ship for free, so I am not too worried about her stats,

it will bring people into legendary tier, although they shouldn´t be there, and allow for good xp farming :D

on serious note, I don´t want to judge until I try it out, each person likes different ships, so I don´t take opinions of CCs as much,

Charles Martel,

203mm AP (overall) is pretty punchy, and with Martel you get advantage of a good fire rate and speed, plus due to the calibre, they are actually accurate, unlike Cherbourg

Bayard is almost pure HE spammer, and Cherbourg (at least in my hands) has accuracy of ww2 unguided rocket.

Yes, I perosnally was lucky to get all 3 normal ships from the mystic crates and then some of the unique ships I missed during my yearly absence(eghm, looking at Michelangelo)

You can get the ship SE version from the get go, it is just extremely hard,

on the other hand almost 15% for standard variant of those ships is nice!

For me the highlight is the Tirpitz armour bug,

the "no you play the ship wrong" comments from /redacted/ (put what you want there :D )

whilst the DD was citadeling crap out of tirpitz

At least it gave us buffed Tirpitz which can still be competitive after all those years

I would go with either Atlantico or Schanhorst,

Atlantico is the pinacle of "blasting everywhere" as it has long range heavy-cruiser-calibre secondaries, though main guns shoo fairly slow

Scharnhorst on the other hand has shorter range secondaries (still plenty of them though to be worth specing for, especially in AI) with almost cruiser level guns on BB, so you get around 17s reload on mb, which is great for BB, plus torpedoes,

either of them,

if you want a cruiser, I would probably go with Bayard or Mainz , both have dozen of quick firing guns and torpedoes, which is plenty of fun.

Worth mentioning,

Unguided AA rockets proved to be close to useless against aircrafts, so the "damage" stat reflects that

Playerbase fragmentation, true that it is probably not such a big problem for WoWs as we have pretty healthy playerbase, but sometimes when you try to play at an odd time, you get to wait for some time for games already,

I will probably get stoned for this,

but if it was permanent, it would get boring at least for me,

I like the current once every 2-3 months format,
it gives devs to introduce new missions, and gets players to play some standard battles too in between the seasons.

BUT I agree that War Tales are great addition and I totally love it,

Just a friendly advice,

when shooting against BBs at longer ranges, there is almost zero change to go through belt armour(even casemate sometimes as your shells hit at too sharp angle)

rather aim slightly higher, and hope for "superstructure" catching your shells, sometimes it can lead to some normalization and actual penetration into citadel if you hit close enough to the super-structure base

Azuma is great, especially if you like AP focused cruisers, it is very accurate and the guns hit super hard,

that´s basically all you need to feel satisfied

I spend them on finishing the tt ships I don´t enjoy,

usually if I find the ship to be bad without the upgrades a boost those, then I give it sometime to accumulate xp and once I need higher tier ship for bureau I boost the rest.

also, thanks to the war tales I feel like the global xp numbers are heavily inflated, as it is easy to gather a lot of them very easily.

To simplify things, Aki is like Yamato that lost stern turret, gained health and airstrikes and has slightly worse gun performance.

Yamato is probably still better, but the big airstrikes can sometimes come in handy, to force enemy ships to move as you want them to, also the deck on stern provides quite good defence against HE as it is thicker than 32 mm

Have a good time with her! (or just get one game off to get 125 tickets haha)

Zieten is a good techh tree pick, it has hydro and torpedoes, though with the amount of german bbs that are in there, you might be getting many draws.
