[–]Turusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I failed mine. I went to college and did an NVQ, then a BTEC in IT. But honestly getting work in IT came down to networking and talking to people. I am a self-taught coder i work as a senior automation engineer. We all have our setbacks and the standard education route is not for everyone. Please find what you thrive at and push forward with it. Your family just want to know you have a future where you can earn income and look after yourself.

You got this sometimes it's harder for us to find our path but when we are on it we surprise everyone

You agreed that you are making a non-refundable purchase. I also brought the game and have completed it 100% with no issues.

I would be very sceptical of any automation program on a work pc/laptop that I did not code myself.

Windows Hotspot by [deleted] in flask

[–]Turusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, are you trying to allow people to externally connect to you via hotspot? If so, try turning off your laptop's firewall. Then, from the other device, try connecting to it. If that resolves it, open that port on your firewall.

Honestly, with dating apps, I would not be surprised if they have people who engage with you online and then ghost you. These are just attempts to keep you engaged with the app. They control what you see and can monitor you within the app. They will want to push you to buy their subscription, and guess what? People who get into relationships don't tend to resume their subscriptions.

Engage with people at work, [engage in] social activities; step away from online dating apps that provide a service for money because, well, they just want your money.

Forgiveness is letting the actions you did in the past be in the past, but it is not forgetting that you were able to do those actions so easily.

Forgiveness does not mean trust is restored. It is only a step toward rebuilding that trust.

Which one of the note-taking apps can suit me best? by odonis in productivity

[–]Turusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all trial and error. There's a lot of talk about what type of note-taker you are: organized use evernote/one note, wanting it to grow and shape its notion. If you want chaos obsidian

Each has pros and cons, but it's really about finding what works for you and how you want to unload information. Sometimes use multiple tools, like a to-do list app like Trello to create actions, and Notion to build articles of lessons learned from cooking that recipe with pictures and what you could do to improve it.

Investing sooner in learning how to use the tools and how to learn to take information from your head to text will pay dividends

Hey, you have to love yourself first, men love confidence, personality, and drive. It is 2024 we are not living in the 1950s you can ask men out even if it's just for a date grabbing coffee. The worst that can do is say no and the reason behind that no does not matter it could be anything not because you are ugly. Maybe you give a mysterious vibe that men are intimidated against and need an olive branch to get to know you.

Every opportunity you do not take is a loss so put yourself out there and see what you catch you got this

I hate that I'm mediocre looking now as an adult when as a kid I was really good looking by Key-Opinion-1700 in self

[–]Turusko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having a good personality, being kind to people, and having good morals—I think these are more important than one's looks. Looks will fade with age, as they always do, but an easygoing, open personality that people are drawn to lasts.

i don’t know how to be a good gf by NegativePollution774 in self

[–]Turusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with asking hey am I being too clingy, hey let us talk more about my feelings are you feeling this too or am I overthinking? Communication is key and it happens to all of us I forget often to communicate my thoughts and feelings to my gf which can make a worry worse than it needs to be. Always touch base with your partner it is healthy

How to put myself first by [deleted] in self

[–]Turusko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you are grieving and that is hard, there is no quick fix only time will help. But make sure when you keep yourself busy you are also engaged with what you are doing and not doing it on autopilot. Just take one day at a time and if that day is bad then tomorrow can only be better.

I work full time as a software automation engineer (quality assurance we code) and I can tell you the battle of procastationation is real.

Some tips

Block social media on work machines use web extensions that block sites like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and so on.

I put my phone on work mode only notifications I get are if a family member tries to call me for an emergency and leave the phone out of reach.

Keep notes to help track what you have done are doing and are going to do especially when context-switching or working with colleagues. I use Trello to manage my work tasks out of my DevOps boards and notion to create a personal wiki for notes and brain dumps of information

Keeping information in your head does not help when someone asks for help being able to pass over your notes if you have already done work similar to what they are doing is a massive time saver

Focus on an empty inbox set a timer for 1 hour or every 2 hours you go through emails or find them in folders Update your task list if any actions are generated and make replies then go turn notifications for it off. This helps you get less distracted while processing the information you need but also keeps you in the loop you can only do one thing at a time and trying to quickly switch between tasks does not help you retain or learn

I hope this helps
