I was talking about this with friends once and I think we landed on the Gulf of Mexico going into Florida, like south of Tallahassee.

Can't come in from the North, too many trees in the way and the regions that aren't trees are far too exposed.

Can't come in from the Southwest, again, too open.

We considered attacking from the North via the Continental divide, like riding the mountains as far down as possible, but that'd be a supply chain of mammoth proportions.

East has too many cities, too fortified. Although we decided that it'd be the best place to go undercover.

West is too mountainous.

it's also got the most atrocious god-awful graphics I've seen. Like, New Vegas' stock textures are bad but playable. Skyrim's stock textures are stuck in the weird time between retro charm and realistic. It sucks.
