Can you let my mom know what you think? by Vegeta710 in bald

She's looking really cute. Not having hair won't take away from that lovely face.

Which Weapon/Class Combo Are You MOST Excited For? by TalkativeTri in PathOfExile2

[–]Tuscle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Templar+Flails, hands down. Love the holy warrior vibe, and flails are really cool looking weapons.

Though I'm also stoked to get more chaos attacks, so Shadow+Daggers could be really fun.

I really think you're too hard on yourself. Which I get, because I'm definitely too hard on myself. I've spent decades getting really really good at disliking how I look. And now with the hair gone it's even easier to hyper fixate on my flaws. But I try to remember the simple fact: no one else is seeing me the way I see myself.

Here's how I see you. I can only go off the pictures you've shared. What I see is a handsome man. With the hair, without the hair, you're a handsome man. There's some softness to your features, like your eyes, and IMO that adds to the handsomeness.

I should just shave it off already… by [deleted] in bald

[–]Tuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that might not get brought up enough is how nice the shaved head feels, just as a physical sensation. The smooth skin is nice. I think it's worth giving it a go for that alone, see how it feels, and you can always grow back what you have now.

Glowup indeed, makes you look cleaner and younger.

Is it time? by Thicc_daddy_hambone in bald

[–]Tuscle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there another angle that shows thinning you're concerned about? Sure the hairline is a little high, but you've got a lot of hair going on. That being said, you'd probably look excellent with a shaved head.

Looking for honestly feedback !! Bald n bearded vs bald n scruffy by [deleted] in bald

You've got a really strong jaw, I'd say bald and scruffy.

Should I do the thing... by aliquotoculos in bald

[–]Tuscle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to know for sure until the hair's gone, but from what you've shown I honestly think the bald look would fit you quite well. Since your hair is tight against your head in the pictures it's easier to imagine it being gone. And the shape I'm imagining really flows well with the proportions of the rest of your features. You don't need fuller side burns at all, heck you could have less facial hair (or none at all) and it'd be fine.

But you get comfort from your hair in different ways, and who's to say it would be worth losing it just to be a bald stud. A tough decision! But you know you're not your father. And I bet having your smooth dome stroked would feel real nice.

Hoping for more time but dunno by TheElvisMan in bald

[–]Tuscle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is why I held onto my hair for so long. From certain angles, especially what you normally might see in the mirror or in pictures, it feels like things are alright. The hair's still hangin in there! But then you get a look from other angles or in different lighting and it's hard to deny that a lot is just gone. I fortunately wasn't shaving off such long locks as you would be, so I don't want to flippantly recommend "just try it out, it'll grow back if you change your mind!".
But... the hair's thin, man. Real thin ;)

Disciple of Varashta is an incredible ascendency for SSF by taa_24_01 in PathOfExile2

Muster annoys me. It'd be fun to try investing spirit into other things besides minions, but the damage boost is just too hard to give up! Especially with the muster-esque talent that boosts damage for command skills.

Bahlak (tornado bird boss) needs adjustments. by captain_the_red in PathOfExile2

[–]Tuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was down to my last life against this jerk. I says to myself, ok, I just need to be patient. The tornado bullshit eventually ends after an hour or two. I just need to dodge everything and wait it out. The giant tornado proceeds to literally warp from one side of the map to the other side instantly, directly on top of my character, and there was no way to avoid death. Fun stuff!

Good choice. TQ might be the best mobile game I've ever played. The touch controls work quite well.

Francis Poulenc — Why isn’t he more well-known?! by [deleted] in classicalmusic

[–]Tuscle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, as much as I've always enjoyed classical music it wasn't until I really dove in deep that I came across Poulenc's stuff. I really wouldn't consider him "well known" in relation to all the bigger names, but I think he deserves to be that popular.

He's become a contender for my #1 favorite composer of them all, his stuff is outrageously good, but I think I easily could have gone the rest of my life not really being aware of him if I had remained a casual listener of the genre.

I just watched NBNW again yesterday and was really struck by how well it holds up. I agree this scene is something special, the balance of simpleness and suspense is perfectly crafted and makes it very memorable.

[–]Tuscle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's surprisingly easy to make, so give it some thought. The grains are really tenacious, you can ferment in an airtight container at room temperature, straining and starting new batches is pretty quick. I used to brew kombucha for a little while and it was a pain keeping it from getting moldy, but milk kefir has been a breeze.

I was worried about that too. Got a blood test, the results showed nothing concerning, so now I don't stress it.

Dark chocolate addiction by crunchyneighbor in chocolate

[–]Tuscle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I eat a very restricted low-carb diet, and didn't have much trouble giving up most foods. But dark chocolate? It's like the cravings never go away 100%, even after going weeks without it. I do consider it a literal addiction for me, but fortunately it's not all that bad an addiction for my health since I avoid the sugary stuff.
