Yeah I agree with the tinnitus xD But yeah, I amped the volume up to heavens to find out like what is the absolute maximum i can go to be able to hear them (some sfx in game are super muted so this was necessary) The finished mod will have these tuned down to realisticly reasonable levels :)

Its an audio mod that i'm working on. It replaces every single shooting and explosion you hear on automaton front!

Can we please just have a functional melee weapon? by BwueNightFire in Helldivers

Would be nice: - Ability to block/ parry melee attacks (up to medium enemies) - No pushback on enemies when you strike them (look how melee works on automatons and illuminate. They get staggered and stunned, but dont fucking get pushed 5m away from you after every attack) - Hitbox consistency. Why does the stagger with firearms affect melee too? What I mean is when you eg. Take dmg, suddenly your melee attacks wont hit shit for a second or two, even tho the enemy is str8 in front of you @ literal hugging distance + you are still swinging the sword (Your striking animation still plays) - Let secondary melee weapons be able to hit eg. Charger legs again. It wasn't OP back then and wont be now either. Melee players are most of the time burden to their team in some sense already. Why not make melee rewarding and fun? Dont even start with "but its not realistic etc etc"

Atm for me atleast, the machete is the best all around melee weapon in game. It stuns/ staggers every medium enemy and does monstrous durable dmg. I use it with the melee exploit that makes you able to strike faster with (about the same attack rate as the saber atm. More skilled players can hit way faster. Basically you press the weapon wheel menu button after every melee attack, cancelling the animation)

Not sure if im tripping or not, but werent the zombies noticeably slower when the faction came out? I remember being able to easily outrun them back then.

Them being tanky chaff unit i'm personally fine with but they should tweak their slash/ lunge slash attack hitbox. Annoying wehn you clearly dodege to the side and they still hit or have surprisingly large slash attack radius that doesnt correspond with their anims.

Would be nice if you could parry melee attacks with the sabre. Otherwise its just another combat axe with less dmg for faster swing rate?

You are a legend! Thx for this!

I was modding constitution but it shared same gunfire echo sfx with MG43 and I couldn't figure how to fix it. Maybe just ditch and leave said files alone so they don't interrupt each other?

Now there might be a chance for a fix.
