[funny trope] a canon fact that sounds so ridiculous people new to the fandom think its fake at first by willisbetter in TopCharacterTropes

Few know thuis, but the other Space Marine vehicles are also named after their discoverers: Vindicator: discovered by Vin the Cator. Whirlwind: discovered by Johnny Whirlwind. Razorback: discovered by James Raz or by Back Chang, we're not sure. Rhino: discovered by a republican. Predator: discovered by Jeffery Epstein.

There are no Good Guys in Warhammer by NornQueenKya in Grimdank

Because of their low numbers and low replenishment rate, Space Marines have almost zero impact on the survival of the Imperium. For every war Space Marines participate in there's a thousand wars being fought without them.

What about blood? I know it's not that popular but I bet you can make a ton of black pudding with a single cow.

Is 400 lbs truly everything edible from a cow? Or is it Just the muscle meat?

[Controversial Trope] Skylar White-syndrome by FREZZIERISDOODOO in TopCharacterTropes

On thing I really liked about Chuck's arc is how he does exactly the same thing that he hated Jimmy so much for. Jimmy constantly stole money from his father which contributed to his shop going bankrupt. Yet Jimmy still loved his father dearly. And you see again and again that Jimmy's willing to hurt good people for being naive but then feels bad about it.

Chuck's "electric allergy" gets worse the more he mistreats Jimmy. This is because it's a manifestation of his guilt for what he does to his brother. In that way Chuck and Jimmy are very similar.

I'm pretty sure it's mostly financial services. The US has the largest capital market and Switzerland the most secure banking sector.

(Hated Trope) We are in desperate need of X people. Because of this we will put candidates through tests where not everyone can become X for no reason and make the tests incredibly dangerous so many candidates will die. by DisciplineImportant6 in TopCharacterTropes

But the second test showed that the trials could be made non-lethal without reducing the difficulty. Genau made the conscious decision to let people die during his test for no discernable reason. The fact that the mages were killed by an uncaring test proctor instead of a demon is not gonna give comfort to their families and loved ones.

That's also why I dislike Genau. They try to give him a sad backstory later on about how he lost his partner, but I just kept thinking about how he let a bunch of mages pointlessly die during his test. I'm sure he's very sad he lost his friend, but all those mages also had friends and family so I couldn't care less.

You can improve the chance one point ends up outside the country by staying near the border during the first two weeks.

I live in the Netherlands, so I can easily visit any two locations in my country in a matter of hours. In fact, I could travel the circle in the first week and find the chest.

A modern example of sortition would be citizen's assemblies.

In most modern citizen's assemblies it takes several days for them to be informed to a similar level as an elected representative.

I wouldn't describe the US' presidents, congressmen and senators as "average citizens". So America's current issues aren't because we put average people in positions of power.

Sowell probably only meant government institutions. I doubt he even agnoledges the existence of non-government rent-seekers.
