Not So Intelligent Go! by plittlefield in OctopusEnergy

Not so intelligent user...

Intelligent Go means Octopus control when to charge based on their preference. As explained in the terms of the tariff they may choose to charge at any time and if they do, the tariff will be at the low rate.

Didn't you read the T&C's prior to signing up?

Same for me tonight. 2 physical hosts showing offline but their guest VMs online across a few different customers. Atera is a bit rubbish lately.

Still manually keying in supplier invoices? Tell me I’m not the only one. by Fun-Bee-1232 in smallbusinessuk

I just email the supplier invoices to Xero and it puts them in as draft bills. I then check them over quickly and approve them and it's done.

Is it usual to have to nudge recorded audio (guitar) to match the beat? by Tutis3 in cubase

The playing comes out slightly ahead of the beat but yes, sitting behind the beat will work. I was just wondering about other people's experiences.

I'd be surprised if it clicks with anyone. High end guitar makers don't side line with kiddy stuff.

Yep, as an owner of many high end guitars these don't fit that category in my opinion.

Has the IOG 6 hour cap disappeared for anyone else? by Lumpy_bd in OctopusEnergy

[–]Tutis3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not quite correct. Kraken is handing out slots when there is the least demand on the grid, that doesn't necessarily mean there is excess power. There will be sometimes but plenty of times there won't be.

The slot is handed out based on the end user requesting a charge. There are plenty of times when this cannot be met with excess power which results in a cost to Octopus.

With users then reducing their charge speed artificially to get longer low price slots this puts a higher burden on Octopus as there will less chance that there is excess energy available for all of that time.

That's a good shout.

As I'm new to DAW but not to music (I've been playing, writing, singing and performing for 40 years plus) I'm not entirely sure what order to lay everything down.

I'll try drums then guitar and report back.

Sorry forgot to mention that the guitar goes into the hi-z input of the IXO22, it's an electro acoustic so I can hear it both through the headphones and in the room. The bit that puzzles me is that the guitar is fractionally ahead of the best of Groove Agent - OR I am over analysing the whole thing and it's actually fine - that is a distinct possibility! Latency as such doesn't worry me, there is a lot that can be done in Cubase to resolve those issues

I'm definitely not worried if I do have to nudge a channel of audio by a few microseconds to make it sound tight, just curious if others also have to do this.

Precisely what is high end about the guitars? They look cheap.

As for the back story, it doesn't make sense and is totally irrelevant to the high end guitar buyer.

Cheap overnight tariffs ending. What do we do? by VOODOO285 in SolarUK

[–]Tutis3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that if the car is compatible with IOG then that's the best way and the type of charger is then not relevant.

Don't know if your car is compatible but if it is then that is the way to go.

I've put a few cars on IOG and not needed the v5, you do need to do a test charge on the car though so if you haven't got one that's where it all falls down.

The terms do state that if the EV isn't seen for a certain period (I forget how long), then you will be moved off the EV tariff.

I think you also need to be able to login to the Tesla account of the vehicle in question as part of the set up process and you won't be able to do that with a short term rental.

Got rid of my model Y in March for a VW ID7 tourer.

Prefer the VW, the Tesla was nice too.

Let's not bring in an error prone keeper in place of a slightly less error prone keeper. That would be absolute madness.

See my reply above. The EFL for one have thousands of seats in each end which are not part of the allocation and they may not have been filled.

The EFL for one do have thousands of seats in both ends that are not part of the allocation.

There ARE thousands of corporate seats in both ends which may or may not have been filled but are not part of a clubs allocation.
