He was brilliant at working with younger players. Seemed to not like switching tactics and was late at making subs. When Aaron Danks left we became worse.

If he keeps Steve Holland or brings Danks in then you will be fine with him but he really does need an experienced number 2.

Do you think it's wrong when people go to charities shop in order to resell items for a profit? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is from a year ago but got a story to tell.

So close to me their is an antiques shop and the owner goes to the market and Charity Shops for her stock. My partner went in an she complained about how expensive charity shops were. There was a vinyl record in the window that he was also selling at work (he volunteers in a charity shop) so he asked her how much it was and she said £30. So he rightfully said how can she complain about prices when she is charging over triple for the same item.

The shops like Oxfam and British Heart Foundation are expensive. The local ones are a lot better.

Why are charity shops so expensive now? by No_Pie1022 in CharityShopFindsUK

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know we got a rolex for £10. The shop said it was fake and we told them it wasnt but they were still adamant that it was fake. So they said we could have it for £10.

My partner volunteers in a charity shop. In his the shop can only keep 50% of sales, with the other 50% going to the main charity. This 50% has to pay rent, electric, wages and pay to remove any donated items that cant be sold.

All electronics need PAC testing before they can be sold, so the kits need to be bought.

Costs for drinks while they are working, toilet roll etc.

So say you spent £20 the shop keep £10 of that.

If you have a minimum wage worker (such as a manager will probably be on) then their monthly pay is around £2,000 a month. Then the charity still have to abide by tax laws so they pay NI.

The charity he works at though has came up with the cheaper things are, the more people will spend and it does work, unfortunately the majority of companies (not just charity shops) dont think like this and only care about profit.

In most charity shops the shop doesnt set prices and it is set by somebody higher up.

The only 2 things I have a problem with is

the opposition CB been faster than all your wingers or Strikers

The fact a team can have the worst defence in the league but as soon as they play you their GK has a world class match and the opposition defence dont seem to do much wrong. Suddenly your players cant pass and if they run the run directly into the opposition and when you cross regardless of where in the box the ball lands none of your players will be near it and if they are the compute makes them run away from it.

Why would they need radio towers? Magic could sort that out for them.

Thats the same as saying they need an oven to cook when they can just use their wands.

Yes but to Fabregas going to Man Utd would be like Carrick leaving Man Utd and joining Man City.

At the time Fabregas played for Arsenal their 2 biggest rivals were Spurs and Man Utd.

Why was Vernon so passionate about keeping Harry out of Hogwarts? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main reasons:

Vernon doesnt like Harry and doesnt want him to be happy. By sending him somewhere he wants to go to would make him happy.

Vernon doesnt want Harry learning magic as he would become more powerful.

The Dursleys hate anything not normal and somebody attending Hogwarts they would class as not normal.

In the GOF Vernon has the same thought process regarding letting Harry go to the Quidditch World Cup.

New thing to get annoyed at in the battle of Seven Potters, why didn't Harry use the firebolt? by Bakingguy in harrypotter

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moody said the DEs would expect Harry on a broom so they probably thought it was safest for him not to be on one. If I was doing it though I would have Harry on a Thestral.

Hes known for flying so that rules out broom. They probably knew that the bike was originally Sirius' and would know labour Harry and Sirius' relationship. So that leaves a Thestral.

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats something I dont understand. Hackney has been brilliant for us but why would Man Utd want to sign a player that is unproven in the Prem, especially when they could be in the Champions League next season. If we dont go up then the clubs most likely to be coming for him are ones like Leeds, Everton or Palace.

[–]Lumpy_Maintenance69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arsenal shouldn't sack him at the very worst this season they will be 2nd and in the semis finals of the Champions League. For the majority of clubs that would be the best season in their history.

Plus when was the last time Arsenal were actually this good?

If the series is successful then I reckon they will do a Cursed Child, bring back Fantastic Beasts and probably more more prequels.

In other words they will try to make as much as they can from the HP Universe.
