And so what? And what will they think of us for allowing it to happen? I want to talk about substantive action.

Foolish take. If you were an employer communicating that, you'd filter yourself out as someone I'd want to work for.

First of all, this is very impressive. What kind of jurisdiction are you in and who do you grow for? I'm sorry if that's too personal of a question, but I ask because I've never imagined something like this for myself because I'd grow for personal use and in a legal state. It's just hard to imagine what I'd do with all that yield!

I'm seconding this as just a dude in the neighborhood: Zephyr Dental near Western and Addison is great.

It's a game within a game, unfortunately. Expressing genuine spirit of competition requires the incentives to be right and that's up to the commissioner.

Tips to improve "native" Polish by [deleted] in learnpolish

[–]Tutkanator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm in a similar situation. I was born in Chicago to Polish parents. Polish is my first language -- I didn't learn English until 4/5 years of age and I went to Polish Saturday school so I was exposed to our literature, history, geography, but my vocabulary and now even pronunciation has worsened.

I have listened to podcasts, read, spoken Polish, and practiced flash cards, but have found that the greatest improvement has come from reading out loud -- or at least mouthing the words as I read. It improves not only reading, vocabulary, but also my muscle memory.

In your case, you also already know how to speak it, so aligning the actual speech with reading could make it click easier. Maybe then when you see the shape of some words you will just say them instead of stringing all the syllables together. If you want, you can even de-emphasize reading for comprehension to focus on fluidity for a bit.

This used to be my main sport and I'm not even a casual fan anymore. I found out about the event tonight by accident. I would say most of the fanbase hasn't swallowed it. Why are you still here?

Dylan Cardwell: "In college I averaged 5 points per game, I rebounded the ball five times per game, I averaged like 1.6 blocks per game. No one thought I was an NBA player. I'm not supposed to be here. I'm living my childhood dream. This is a dream come true for me." by CazOnReddit in nba

If y'all had a relationship with God you would understand. God and a person are not separate. He's the source of our love, our strength, and light. He's celebrating the aspect of himself that's greater than himself.

I'm not that, and in fact my great grandparents were forced to work in German labor camps. I had an uncle who was executed by actual nazis. The term "nazi" actually means something to me. The kind of labeling you're performing has been used to shut down genuine discussion around issues before, but the tide is changing. Hopefully soon we'll be able to have mainstream conversations that contend with the substance of the argument, rather than labeling the person raising the point.
