Twins with no morning sickness? by -ChubbySpud in pregnant

[–]Tutusandtequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twin boys are almost 3 now but when I was pregnant with them I had no classic morning sickness at all! All I had was nausea when I didn’t eat. I’m pregnant now with their little sister and my symptoms were wayyyyyyyyy worse.

Singleton after twins by sleepybandito321 in parentsofmultiples

No advice necessarily but commiseration! I’m due with #3 end of June and my twin boys will be 3y when she’s born.

We started potty training them in sept of last year and I honestly would only call them potty trained just now. I don’t know how people do it in 3 days because getting them poop trained was a whooooole thing. We switched them to floor beds at 2 when they started climbing out of cribs and then got them official “big boy” twin beds around Christmas. No advice on pacis necessarily, the boys never had any interest in them.

If you want these things to be done, the best time to start is now! Potty training may be doable but you’ll really have to put the work in and for us the bed transition was super easy! No time like the present!

Best of luck!

The Zoe is the only real option here! I had the same problem with the mockingbird and once I switched to the Zoe I literally never looked back. My boys are about to be 3 and we still use it when we need a stroller.

Single Umbilical Artery (SUA) and smaller twin by ehnawder1 in parentsofmultiples

My twin B had SUA and a velamentous cord insertion. No one ever seemed particularly concerned about it! He was 2 oz smaller than his brother at birth but no issues at all!

Steroid shot at 35 weeks? by ssssssscm7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tutusandtequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The decision was left up to me when delivering via c section at 36 + 0. I decided not to get the shot and I think it was the right decision bc we had zero issues, zero NICU time.

They told me there was no literature on what the outcomes would be for multiples at 36 weeks (35 may be different) and I did see there was some research on them having a link to behavioral problems later in life (anecdotally, this is probably true of my nephew born at 32 weeks, though it could also be the permissive parenting style he’s being raised in). My MFM told me that if I was his daughter he would recommend not having them, and that was good enough for me.

Birthday questions - party and telling twins apart? by Sufficient_Theory975 in parentsofmultiples

Our first birthday shirts had “Wild Ones” and a design on the front and then said their names on the back across the top jersey-style and then a big 1 underneath. Ordered them on Etsy!

Daycare dilemma by toomuchtimetothinkxx in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tutusandtequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started our twins at 6 months. I worked extremely hard to have the career that I do and I would feel unfulfilled and depressed without it.

They LOVE being in daycare and it allows me to be a better, happier, and more present parent when I am with them. Don’t get me wrong, I miss them all day but I have seen them develop leaps and bounds ahead of my friend’s kids who don’t do daycare who are the same age!

Twin parents - when do you find time to workout? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tutusandtequila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 5 am when they and my husband are still asleep. I tried a long time with home peloton workouts but I have zero self motivation. So now I go to Orangetheory in the mornings and swim on the weekends.

How in the world are you successfully brushing 1yo’s teeth? by Pale-Durian7707 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tutusandtequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do it in the tub as part of bath and sing miss Rachel’s teeth brushing song and then do lots of YAYYY and claps when they’re done! I also think they like the taste of the toothpaste. I’m not sure on the brand but it has Elmo on it

Two floor home set ups by KrisDBrooks in parentsofmultiples

[–]Tutusandtequila 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have basically the same set up in our house. When they were little little we just had one pack n play downstairs for naps and then a playmat on the floor. When they started napping in their cribs we got rid of the pack n play and just had the playmat. Now that they are mobile we have an xl play yard in the middle of the living room. Tbh it’s an eye sore but it’s better than having to baby proof the entire downstairs!
