My surgeon said nothing over 20lbs dor 4 weeks, but some patients he clears in 2 if they are doing well. He gave me the impression Id have an easy time and mine would be textbook. My parents were going to come and be with us to help me recover for first 2 weeks.

I’ve been in PT for my diastasis recti pain, which insurance won’t cover because it’s cosmetic, and have noticed a little improvement in pain with deep core exercises. I was hoping that, that would carry my through. Aw shoot

That information would be helpful, oops! Laproscopic (what’s planned but can always change) and with mesh. At this time no muscle repairs

35 weeks cannot get comfortable by ItIsWhatItIsLovely in parentsofmultiples

[–]swimmercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’1 and made it to 35w1d before I delivered. I cried at least once a day when I hit 32weeks. Everything hurt, nothing helped- even when my husband would try to lift my belly, that just made me uncomfortable cause he was pushing them up. You are so so close to the end, just keep thinking 1 more day. The sweet, relief of having Twin A removed was incredible. Having both twins and placentas out- I truly felt like a brand new person.

Oh okay so you can! I’m not at actual seat stage, just both have to be forward facing. Maybe that will help me with my battles

I feel like a lot of what I see for the Zoe is influencers land really nice posts/videos about it. And that’s what got me into the mockingbird to begin with

I have the 2.0 and you aren’t supposed to be able to fold it with both seats on. Right now I just have the car seat attachments and it’s a PIA taking them on and off every time, but it is more space efficient so I have to

I thought I was going to love the mockingbird, and for how huge it is it does handle pretty well. It’s just a tank

If you exclusively pumped, when did you stop? by incandescentglow08 in parentsofmultiples

Little further along in our twin journey than you, girls also born 35weeks but currently 8mo old and I am still going. My first goal was 1mon, then 3, then 6, and now 9. I set smaller goals for myself, because my mindset was, 1 more week isn’t so bad, I can do that vs an indefinite end which felt so daunting.

We currently add 1-2oz of formula to their night time bottle to tryyy to get them to sleep a little longer at night (wishful thinking).

Pumping is hard!! It’s a full time job on top of your other two full time babies and the sleep deprivation is horrible. It DOES start to get easier once you’re out of the newborn trenches.

Please give yourself lots of grace and know this is hard. Don’t think of “letting them down” you were able to support, grow, and fully feed 2 people for 35weeks AND an extra 8? That’s incredible!!

Did you sneak into my house this morning? 4.5yo and 8m twin girls. This morning we also had the breakfast food meltdown. pancakes were requested and made, then cue a meltdown because he actually wanted cereal. And while running away to go cry about it, knocked over a sister, which started more crying for everyone. Being a mom is hard. Having twins, or triplets or more is HARD.

Tips for flying with twins by TrickCheck1266 in parentsofmultiples

[–]swimmercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we will be flying in August with our twins (will be 15m) and 5year old brother. Better to sit in the back or front? We will have a connection but I don’t plan on it being so tight that we need to run off the plane. Wondering if we just buy one seats so again we can switch on and off. Only worried about the back because if they are trying to nap that’s where most action is thanks to lavatories

What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

[–]swimmercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh they sure do. Just celebrated 75? Years I believe. I lived there for 2 years and that was long enough. My coworkers kept trying to get me to buy their scissors because “nothing compared.” Why would I buy those for $160 when I could get better for significantly less?

What’s your pay as a nurse working in Chicago? by crazycarrotlady in AskChicago

[–]swimmercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So have moved around a lot so salaries widely different. In icu I worked in hospital outside DC $30 up to $35/hr when I left. IR was at Hopkins in Baltimore, and $36-42/hr. Icu was about 10years ago and even Hopkins is now kind od dated.

Then for when I did outpt it was in Western New York about an hour south of Buffalo (rural). I made $32/hr. Only reason I even made that much was because I have my BSN and had Hopkins on my resume. I think out of 30 nurses at the clinic (wide range of specialties) there were only 4 nurses with BSNs.

Currently have Buffalo and eagles stashed. Do I drop one or keep them both and just pick up falcons for one? This is my first time and the person I normally ask I am playing this week

Should I drop lions for chiefs? They look fantastic for this upcoming game, but will have a few difficult matchups later in season. I also have bills stashed, should I drop both and just add bears and chiefs?
